This by far is the best basketball game ever made. I have not been this pleased with a game since the NBA 2K came out for dreamcast. Graphics, gameplay, sound, this game has it all. If you are a hardcore sports gamer and basketball fan then this game has it all. The only draw back to the game is the lack of user stats, and stats overall. Aside from that this game has it all. This game makes the Xbox 360 worth having. The money I spent on the 360 is well spent because of this game.
Everybody knows one feature in their mind: Creating your own team. I did make two of them. One was for Austin, Texas and another city. People need to think about before giving me some feedback on this game. BTW, NBA 2K6 ROCKS 4 LIFE!!!!
Man when i got my 360 i asked the guy at gamestop which bball game i should get and he said whichever isnt ea sports and man im glad i listened visually the game is stunning the controls are great they took all the great gameplay of the past and put it with new and improved realistic graphics the sweat and jerseys moving wow so much detail if you love basketball or basketball games get this game and it is so much better then its ea sports adversary as i expected Nba 2k6 is a winner
Talk about entertainment value. Playing this game really is superb. You can have a more simulation experience or a more arcade feel. This game is presented in such a way that you really feel that you are watchig a game. The broadcast is almost piece for piece what you would see on t.v. The graphics are by far the best for a basketball game. If you even somewhat so mildly enjoy basketball this game is a must have on the 360.
Well I dont normally like basketball games, and at first i did not like the game at all. However, after only a week I really enjoyed playing it. Specifically, I enjoyed the “career mode” equivalent. Year round recruiting and in-season player development was a great feature…the game play was fun, although many of my games froze towards the end. I am not sure if this is due to the xbox360 or the game. All in all if you are a basketball fan I think you will enjoy this game…If you are not, rent it first and give it a few days!

This game is THE basketball game on the Xbox 360. The graphics are truly next gen…for example the jerseys move as if they were really being worn. Besides the graphics being stellar, the gameplay is incredibly easy to catch on to and completely natural for a basketball game.My favorite mode is the “Road to the EBC” which lets you basically work your way up from street baller to pro against NBA players and Def Jam stars like Redman, Method Man, and Flava Flav. It’s incredibly addictive and the replay value is through the roof. The console can even save your friends’ profiles after they play to emulate their moves and tendencies.I’ve played NBA Live and was totally unsatisfied. The controls were sticky and the graphics just were not up to par. The 2K series is really making a name for itself by outdoing EA here. Not that EA was ever that good, it’s just now there’s finally a better alternative!
