Update 24Mar12: If you have the receiver from the Big Button controllers connected when you launch the game, the START button on your regular XBOX controller doesn’t load the game.Further 21Apr12: I enjoyed this enough that I bought another as a gift. They’re having the same “won’t start” problems as others have reported here.Further YET 14May12: Their problem was the same as the issue I mentioned above on 24Mar — once we used the Big Button controllers, the game worked FINE.I wanted to get a quick review posted here so that people wouldn’t be scared off by other customers’ problems. We’ve played the game three times now, selecting different game modes, using both regular wireless and “Big Button” controllers, and haven’t had any of the problems reported by others.The games are categorized by continent/region, with an option for a quiz that involves all regions.The questions in the “difficult” games are definitely challenging, even for adults who’ve been exposed to lots of geography and history, but that’s the purpose, right? There are twists added to the multi-player games that endeavor to help the players with lower scores get caught up — and many of the games involve wagering points (with a correct answer’s value based on the points you wagered).There are puzzles to solve, too — sliding pieces around in a 4×4 frame and traditional jigsaw puzzles to be assembled.If you like “Jeopardy” and similar trivia challenges, I think you’ll like this game. Got this as a Christmas present for my girlfriend since she loves Nat Geo and we stayed a lot of the night doing quiz mode. Lots of little mini games to play. Hopefully get more to play as it looks to be best with several players all at once.
A great challenge for my son, extremely educational…. loved this. i don’t play games but I just had to participate in this one lol
