I bought this for my 11 yr grand daughter. She found it fun and interesting.
Great game
I liked the way Nancy Drew looks in this game, but anytime she stands still she’s flipping her hair, it drove me nuts. The story is suspensful, colorful, and a nice story that you don’t have to think alot about.
I was disappointed that it was (again) not anything like the Nancy Drew computer games. The graphics are excellent. My two young nephews (6 and 4) who enjoyed the Nancy Drew movie will like the game a lot. They both love I Spy and wanted to play a Nancy Drew video game. This one is easy enough for the 6 year old to navigate and for both of them to find objects. For this reason, I am giving the game a rating of 4. It is one of the first games that I’ve bought for my DS that we could all play.
Finding objects in a palace and checking a list and remembering whats on it are skills needed. My daughter likes the game.
I bought this game for our grand daughter for Christmas (this year) so I can’t really write a review. But trust retrolio.com for quality. I am sure she will be thrilled to get it for her DSi.
Both my Aunt & I have played this game and we both LOVE it!It not only ties in nicely with the book by the same title, but each time you start the game it hides different items in different hiding places.I have read all the Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew books and am just starting on the older version of Nancy Drew books. This game is AWESOME!!
I love this game! The clues are great and this game is challenging at times. I think this would be perfect for an adult or a child. I highly recommend this game
There have been strange things going on at Twin Elms, a beautiful mansion built during the Civil War. Objects have been disappearing from different rooms, mysterious shadows have been seen, and much more. Miss Flora is convinced that there is a ghost behind this, but her granddaughter, Helen, believes there is a reasonable explanation for everything. It’s up to you as Nancy Drew to prove who–or what–is behind this! The plot of this game is excellent! Fans of the Hidden Staircase book will be happy to know that it follows the basic plot of the book extremely well. Of course there are different elements and characters that were added or taken away in the game, but overall the plot and core characters are the same. Even though I knew who/what was behind everything, I still enjoyed playing the game and especially liked comparing it to the book. For those of you who have not read the book, I’m sure that you will enjoy solving the mystery behind the strange events! As Nancy Drew, it is your job to find missing objects that have been stolen from the mansion. While most of the game consists of finding these hidden objects, you get some fun puzzles at the end of the game. While the puzzles aren’t terribly difficult, I still had a lot of fun solving them. The hidden objects part of the game can be easy at times, but there always seems to be one object that is nearly impossible to find…at least for me. LOL!I was very impressed by the graphics in The Hidden Staircase. I am a fan of.
OK!
