This game is awesome! It is very realistic. You can steal bases, hit batters, drop easy catches, make double plays, and about everything you can do in real life you can in this game! This is a very good game and it worth buying if you are a baseball fan!

This game used to be the old series of Triple Play. The series that lagged in audio, and gameplay mechanics. This new game may help solve problems that we have been going through. I jumped into a regular exhibition game to check it oust, I have to say it is very realistic. Pac Bell Park is realistic. The instant replay is fantastic, some of the angles show realistic tv animation. Some of the players bodies are a little rendered but some of the big name stars are seen thoughout the game. The francise mode I have to say needs to be fixed up. In the start there is no draft and you will not find any free agents in the first year unless you create players. Home run derby takes place in a split screen, I rather have the orginal home run derby theat High Heat has. You will need to update your rosters at easports.com to get the roster updates and patches that fixes problems in baserunning like CPU running to 2nd on a normal base hit.I would reccomend this game, This seemes to be a game heading in the right directionGraphics A+Gameplay B-Francise BOverall B
Not long ago I purchased High Heat 2004. I thought it was terrific. I played a lot with it and started to wonder about MVP 2003; I wondered if it could be as much fun as HH 2004. After a while my curiosity got the best of me;so I bought it.I haven’t had it long but I find myself popping it into my computer practically every day. These two games really keep me busy. I’m a baseball fanatic and it’s baseball season so I am really burning myself out with baseball (the real kind and the virtual kind.) I figure if I play MVP 2003 long enough I’ll go a little bit crazy what with the great graphics and options available. My favorite feature is the way each team is rated so you immediately see how one stacks up versus another before you start playing. The Home run contest is another of the features I love. I highly recommend MVP 2003 for all the same reasons any die-hard baseball fan would recommend watching his or her favorite teams on TV or at the ballpark.
It is a very good game, very interesting…But…Internet updates make it slowly incompatible with my PC. I can not play it anymore, because for some reason, the game denies me access.It is very enjoyable … while it works, it is not very long.
Bought this game for our son. He’s been playing little league B-ball for a few seasons and this game was a good way to help him understand the rules, see how the whole field work together. Despite it’s age, the graphics are still plenty entertaining and works well with our older desktop computer which has a 1.8GHz Celeron processor, 1GB of RAM and a 256MB Nvidia based offbrand video card.The funny part is that the computer’s game announcers don’t sound any less intelligent than the real TV game announcers. That’s either high marks for the game creators or low marks for the TV guys who talk alot but have little to say.
this game is great. especially when you make it to the stanley cup finals. it is also great when you throw a touchdown, or make a huge 360 dunk. here is a hint: if you want to get a hat trick chose tiger woods, he is the best.
This game is awesome!! I wanted a good baseball sim after giving up on High Heat (which always had problems on PC’s), and EA Sports has come up with a dandy! There are some things that will ultimately need upgrading (for example, a meter showing the pitcher’s fatigue level would be good), but this is a game that was rebuilt from the ground up and two years in the making. In an interview, the rep from EA Sports said there will be more features added next year.The graphics are amazing – the ballparks are rendered beautifully, and the players look more realistic than ever, right down to their motions. The franchise mode is cool too, with the goals listed by team. And the announcers are better than ever – for the first time, they don’t sound disjointed in their commentary – in fact, sometimes, like on TV, the game will be going on, and they’ll banter back and forth and seamlessly go back to calling the action when a ball is hit(and I may be a little biased with this – I’m a transplant from the SF Bay Area who spent many a night listening/watching to Duane Kuiper and Mike Krukow, and watched Krukow win his 20th game in 1986 at the ‘Stick) At one point, I just had the CPU play against itself, and my son and I watched the game, and it was like watching one on TV. Amazing!!If you’re looking for a good baseball sim that doesn’t crash on your desktop (I run XP by the way), that really captures the realism of America’s pastime, this is the one to get this year!
This game is so much fun to play and it was and you can get a good deal because its old!
Pros:-outstanding graphics-Roster updates available to download off of easports.com-Improved pitching system-Online gameplay lets you play against another personCons:-You hardly have control over your baserunners (fixed with newest patch)-Is it even possible to steal a base?-No home run derby :(EDIT: The newest patch avilable on easports.com fixes many bugs. It also fixes the baserunning and fielding systems a little bit. Ea games really cares about their games and customers. I am going to change the rate from 4 to 5 starts :)
