The biggest complaint I have is that it doesn’t recognize it when you are already signed in. The first times I used it, I didn’t understand why it wasn’t saving my progress. Then I finally saw that you have to actually tell it who is playing, even when you are automatically signed in. The only way you know this is a message in very small type in the upper right opf the sign-in screen. Beyoned that, controls are responsive if a little confusing when you change between the different sports. And I really like the warning that tells you about how dangerous the sports are.
as the last reviewer has mentioned this is all about coin collecting and posing. Coin collecting in this game for me is fun, and so is the posing (I thought Wipeout for the Kinect botched up posing big time). There are 6 sports, 1 of them is broken, 2 of them are just plain awesome, 2 are good, and of course there is rock climbing which is just okay. The 2 best minigames: Mountain Biking and Kitesurfing. If you only played these 2 sports, you’d definitely think that this is one of the strongest titles for the Kinect. I personally think this game should have always been a budget title, just focusing on these 2 minigames. They are really, really fun and addicting! The broken mini-game: Kayaking. Are you serious? What are you supposed to do? The Kayaking mini-game didn’t respond to my moves at all. Overall HORRIBLE!2 good mini-games: Skiing The skiing is a lot of fun, and better than, or as good as the Skiing in Kinect Sports 2. Controls work well. You lean your body, crouch after a jump, and use your invisible skis, imitating as if you really were using skis to gain control and speed. Wingsuit diving is fun as well, and requires a lot of leaning as well, but requires you squat down to fly and grab the coins at the lower parts of the screen.Controls for the 2 best minigames (mountain biking and kitesurfing): The controls are tight, and the gameplay is a lot of fun. The courses are fun, and require you jump at the end of the ramps to get air and posing for Adrenaline points. The Ki.
Love this game, I have had it for a long time now and still love it. Signing in and getting it to record your achievements is kinda weird, maybe it’s just me…but this game is AWESOME-O!!!! Fun to get the heartbeat going!!
Keeps the grandkids busy on those days they can’t go outside to play!
We bought the original Wii, one of the things I love most is that there are hundreds of family safe/multi-player games. The lack of which I truly hate about X-box (mostly “M” rated games and only multi-player if each player is playing from their own console).I bought this on a whim for my 10 year old son-he loves Shawn White/ X games stuff. While this game IS a product driven game through and through (not sure if it’s Axe or Old Spice) the games themselves are awesome-from mountain biking to rock-climbing to batwing flying or skydiving. For the price, there’s a lot of variety in activities. The graphics are just okay, but the Kinect response level in this game is incredible (a lot of Kinect games are so “off” in movement registration that it takes the fun out of the game play entirely).
This has many really fun games on it. I especially like the raft racing and kayak racing. Good graphics and the kinect responds pretty well too.
Kinect controls work nicely with Kite Surfing, Mountain Biking, Skiing and Kayaking. Each are visually appealing, fun to play, and great exercise. Wingsuit Diving is tougher to control, maybe just me, but seems impossible to dive low when you want to. Rock Climbing barely works. Keeps track of your high score for each sport, which is nice. (You don’t have to go on-line to find it.) Overall, a nice addition to the Kinect collection.
Bought this game as a Christmas gift for the family & they love this game because it isn’t your usual sports.
