This game is amazingly awesome!!!! The graphics are very nice and the storyline is preety good and kinda long as well which is kind of like a bonus). The fatalities are to die for!! With bone crushing awesomeness that MK fans love so much. I played the earlier games and they pale in comparison to the new age. And since I’ve played the game I’ve become an avid MK fan. The online play is very nice and allows multiplayer action. The characters are each very unique and have their own parts in the massive storyline. Overall I was and still am very impressed with this game and hope that another installment will come forth.
I’m not going to repeat everything the 5 star reviewers have wrote so far, but I will add some comments on the 3D implementation. I’m playing it on a Sony Bravia NX series 3D TV, and it’s probably some of the best 3D I’ve seen in a PS3 game to date. When you activate the 3D functionality on the PS3, the console has to generate 2 separate but identical images to create the 3D effect lowering the quality of the original graphics. I noticed this problem a lot while playing Killzone 3 in 3D. Gran Turismo didn’t impress with its 3D output either. Mortal Kombat is a different story. With 3D on, the MK backgrounds and characters look better than non-3D, and for the first time, I don’t want to take off the glasses. Just make sure you activate the 3D through the options menu in the game, and leave your TV settings as is.
if you are fan of the mortal kombat sagat you have to have it with you, graphics ok, music ok, all the game is ok , 100% mortal kombat
Welcome Back now, Get Over Here! It’s great to play Mortal Kombat at home over the net or better yet in a house full of people ready to play. Great graphics make your own combos this is the game we’ve waiting for. A must buy for ANY fighting game fan!

OMG!!! I literally thought i was going to be disappointed, but this game just blew my mind away like seriously , even if you are not a fan of MK and u love fighting games,, go get this!! you will not regret it one bit.. The ps3 version includes kratos who surprisingly does fit well with the game. Everything is great the blood gore fighting styles, combos,, graphics,, the ladies lol ,,,, simply amazing!! well done Warner Bros!!!
Very rarely do I write reviews for products I buy. However, after my experience with retrolio, I felt the need to comment. I decided to pre-order Mortal Kombat from retrolio for a couple reasons:1. I am a Reptile player, and getting his 2nd fatality and alternate costume before even starting the game was a great pre-order bonus.2. Release date delivery, combined with no sales tax for purchases in Minnesota meant I would actually pay LESS than if I purchased the game from the Best Buy literally across the street from where I live.3. $10 retrolio Credit just icing on the cake.I was curious to see if retrolio (and UPS) would be able to provide release date delivery, as I have never gotten this before. Sure enough, it was delivered to my apartment complex office at about 1 p.m., and I was able to pick it up right after work. Sweet!And to make things even better, retrolio just refunded me an extra $3 since they dropped the price of the game on release date. So instead of paying about $64 for the game at a brick and mortar store, I ended up spending about $57.50, AND got $10 off my next retrolio purchase, which will more than likely be a new GPU for my PC.Oh, and the actual game itself is awesome, as expected. It’s Mortal Kombat, at this point you know what you’re getting.
Best MK in years! I played MK growing up but quit playing fighting games when I got older. The series went down hill when it switched to 3D controls. This game brings you back to what made MK so fun and addicting in it’s day. It was worth every bit of my $60.
