I have a 2 in one gaming console for NES and SNES the only problem I’m experiencing is trouble pausing the game. It actually won’t pause.,
An absolute classic, and easily the best version of this game. It has superior graphics and sound compared to all other home ports, and when played on normal difficulty or below the AI is manageable (Don’t even try hard).
What makes MK2 so great is how much it improved over the first game. Almost every detail was improved in a positive way. They took out the endurance rounds so you do not get stuck playing a 3 to 1 ratio. Where if you don’t do well on the first guy there is no way you are going to make it through past the 2nd or 3rd opponent in the round. They left a great sub boss right before the main boss of the game and they added 3 pit stages. The game has a very high replay factor.I think the game shines most in the 2 player area where both players are very even when it comes to the gameplay. In MK3 you were either good with the run button or not, and it really took a lot of the strategy out of the game. A round would barely last a few seconds before you feel like you wasted a quarter. Also the 2nd game had much better stage design and finishing capabilities.MK2 is considered one of the best sequels in video game history. You can walk up to the arcade game anywhere and enjoy every aspect of the game. The home consoles for both SNES and Genesis were both very well done. The only drawback to this cartridge was that they did not give you unlimited continues like a true arcade game you have 5 credits. There is a code to get 30 lives and it is easy to do. But the point is you should not have to put in any codes it should always be set as unlimited. If has a difficulty option why would you need credits or limited continues. Also there is a short pause before the start of each rou.
Mortal Kombat 2 is one of the best games of its time. If the fighting skills aren’t enough, the stories behind each character will make you want to find out more. It’ll make you wonder what it would be like if the world of Mortal Kombat was real.
This video game is a classic among any who has ever played it; which probably includes everyone except those unfortunate children whose parents are too strict to allow them the experience. I remember playing Mortal Kombat at a friend’s house and thinking, "This is the coolest game ever!" I didn’t get a SNES until the price went down and everyone wanted a Sega Genesis because it had better attachments (i.e. 32X & Sega CD). MKII was of the first games my brother and I made an alliance and saved our allowances to buy. We went to the local library to copy down the moves and fatalities from their copies of GamePro and Nintendo Magazine. We used to sneak down stairs after bedtime to play MKII. Of course, we would get into a fight and wake up our parents and get into trouble, but that didn’t stop us from doing it week after week. This movie is a definite classic of the fighting genre. This is a `must-own’ for any video game junky. Five out of five stars.
Wanted this game since I bought my SNES. I bought this game and I still play it. While the arcade version is better, this is still nonetheless a good game. It’s Mortal Kombat, ’nuff said.
I had a great time hosting a MK II tournament at my house. However, Im not much of a fighter game player but when I won the tournament I was like Whhhhhhhhhhaaaaat

This is the best mortal kombat game ever made cuzz.1 of the reasons why i want a super nintendo again. This game is perfect they tried to hard after that.that’s when they lost me i don’t know what happen cuzz str8 down hill to me
