Another fantastic book in the series. CanĆ¢ā¬ā¢t wait for the next one
Really enjoyable! Definitely a worthy continuation of the series. The main character continues to evolve in new and unique ways. As usual, thereĆ¢ā¬ā¢s a fair amount of humor, to go with the action.
I really enjoyed this book. But I canĆ¢ā¬ā¢t wait for the conclusion to this story. . . . . .
Good addition to the series. Aleron Kong continues to expand the mechanics of his world in a way that feels organic and keeps things fresh. Personally I would have liked a couple of chapters about what was happening back in the Village and look forward to seeing him return. Especially with new goodies.Easily one of the best LitRPG series out there. Engaging story with an always evolving RPG component.
I waited for the 8th book like everyone else and it was well worth it. Dr Kong continues the saga and leaves me looking forward to his next installment.
Super excited to be back in the land. With that said book eight feels more like a setup book than a inclusive story. That is the best way I can put it. it feels more like a recovery after the events of book 7 but not anything that would stand on its own. I think I read this in like five to six hours. I knew that he said that it wasn’t going to be as big as seven was but this feels like it felt short. It’s good it’s funny but it doesn’t feel like it’s complete. It feels more like I have to set up what I’m trying to do instead of telling an inclusive story that leads to other things. Aleron I love your work but this wasn’t the best.
I see some of the other reviews that gave poor ratings for this book and I really just don’t understand how anyone who has made it this far in the series could have been disappointed. I feel that the author has not only continued the story in the same vein as the previous books but has improved on his story telling ability. If anything, my only regret would be that it was not as long as book 7. While the reviews that complained about progression were not totally incorrect, there was quite a bit of progression, in my view, with other facets of the ‘The Land’ that were just as fascinating as seeing Richter go up in levels.
Great artist! Great work!
At long last we return to The Land to follow Lord Most as he recovers from the War of the Mausoleum and the subsequent fight with the Mauler! If only book 9 was out already
This man kills every book he writes. This book was a little different, more felt like a large setup to whatever is coming next, but I can’t wait. Great book, great author. Couldn’t wait for Audible so I read it in a day and a half. Can’t wait for book 9.
