this is the best game if u like NFL Blitz then u will like Slugfest. This is a must have game
when i got this game, i couldnt wait to beat on people, then i started to play. it is lots of fun, but not with a lot of midway twist. sure, you can punch people on the bases, but thats it. no other way to entertain you when you want to hurt people. get blitz or hitz instead. still a great game though :)
Slugfest is the ultimate in baseball games it allows more freedom of the hands and feet than ever before. It allows you to hit annoying catchers just standing there waiting for you at the plate. If you like to play rough and dirty with a litle bit of baseball in between by this game you’ll love it.
If u liked NFL Blitz 2002 then you have to love this game. it is like blitz in every way except it is baseball.When the person scaores you can just walk right over to him and give him a left hook to send him back to the dugout crying.The only bad thin is u cant make trades or sighn free agents. But if any of you parents r looking to bye ur son or daughter a good baseball game this is the game to get. its Amazing
For all u baseball fans out there this game fills your need for playing the game. I am a huge baseball fan this game kept me up all night. The graphics r great, the game play is awsome, u won’t be dissapointed.
Slugfest breaks the player out of the painstakingly boring John Madden type commentary. Tim Kitzrow and “Jimmy Shorts” will crack any man women or child up with their hilarious, outragous, and witty commontary. Other slugfest features include great grafics, and only availible in slugfest: the ablility to punch players on base and the get in a fight with the pitcher in some sinarios if the pitcher hits the batter. Slugfest was recently ranked the third best game on the market. Plus, one of the games announcers, Tim Kitzrow, former NFL Blitz announcer, also annouced NHL Hitz, which was ranked in the same survey, the 11 best game on the market. From all those other slugfest fans, adios, and “PLAY BALL!”
Fun gameplay, great fighting and cool graphics. The game moves quickly and they do a great job of making a slow game more arcade-like. Its definately fun in multiplayer mode too. This game is better than the other ones that I have played as far as raw entertainment is concerned. My only issues are the following:1) No homerun derby.2) Pitches aren’t accurate for each pitcher. (Half of them throw knucklers!?!?)3) All pitchers have the same generic delivery. (It would be cool if Byung Hung threw submarine).4) No automatic instant replay. This would be especially nice on homeruns.5) Hard to deal with flyballs. The outfielder is not automatically selected.6) No player of the game.7) Dugouts are flat walls that the balls bounce off of.
