Great product! Prompt delivery!! Highly recommended!!!
One of the most unique and fun games I have ever played. The game will get the adrenaline pumping, and provide a lot of fun. Wish the campaign was longer though.
I absolutely loved Mirror’s Edge when I first bought it and played it.The action was immense, the graphics were very clean, the story was cool, the controls were nice, the voice acting was perfect, and the challenge was very good. But it didn’t last very long… Only about 5 hours or so.This game is more of a rent rather than an actual buy.But it’s very nice, so you should consider trying it.Hopefully the sequel will have the length and other mistakes corrected.
We loved this so much! Great graphics and challenging!
This has to be the most frustrating game I’ve ever played. It starts out fun, because it’s possible to play. But somewhere around the middle of level 4, you start playing the same part over and over again (sometimes for hours), because you have zero room for error, and you must get the button sequence exactly right at exactly the right time. I like the game for as far as I was able to get (I’m stuck somewhere in the middle of level 4 and can’t get any further). The most frustrating part is knowing where you need to go, but not being able to get there. It has good graphics and is fun to play until the gameplay gets too hard (even on the easiest level). Without any way to skip past the hard parts, don’t plan on ever finishing this game.
Mirror’s Edge sets an all-new standard for platforming, action games. I got this game as gift for Christmas of ’08, and as soon as I started playing, I was amazed by the stunning visuals and enticing gameplay.I actually love the fact that you play as a girl. It changes the aspects of gameplay a bit – you’re strong enough, but you definitely aren’t strong enough to take even a small group of soldiers head-on without using some unique tactics. So instead of charging in, guns-and-fists a-blazin’, you can quickly disarm and knock out one enemy, and run around some cover and attack a second from behind. You can take weapons from fallen enemies or by disarming enemies as well, and use them for a more frontal attack. The visuals are STUNNING. They look so realistic, it’s amazing. You honestly feel like you’re *right* in the game when you play. I’ve caught myself gasping in awe at how stoked the jumps looked. The actual platforming aspect of the game is very cleverly worked out. It takes a bit getting used to at first, but you’ll quickly catch on. You use techniques like real “Runners” use while participating in the sport called “Free-running” or “Parkour”. Some of the jumps seem unrealistic, but that just adds to the fun of it!Mirror’s Edge’s story is so, SO great! The ending of the game definitely leaves you with a feeling of triumph and excitement. The story is compelling, with not a dull moment in sight. It’ll have you happy, sad, mad, and pumped, all in the right ways. The cut-scen.
Mirror’s Edge has a great take on the way you interact with the character in the game, and it is fun to play a first person game without the assistance (For the most part) of guns. But unfortunately, this unique style is leaned on to heavily, and becomes monotonous. Also, the game is to short (Like most EA games I feel), and the game ends up feeling either incomplete or just not fulfilling enough.I had fun, but there is no replayability in this game, and for a game to rely on one aspect of the game as it’s sole enjoyment factor, became tiring.
Once you take a leap of faith on this game you’ll never put down the controller. From amazing artistic scenery to adrenalin pumping jumps (“jumps” is an understatement), this is one of the most amazing games I have seen and definitely the best first person game I have seen period <3
About the package: the game case had a pretty bad crack which was unsettlingly close to the disc itself. However, the game was in perfect condition. The game is great. Lots of fun. My one and only critique is that there isn’t a free-roam option. I would love this game 100 times more if I could freely jump from building to building whenever and wherever I wanted to within the city. Besides that, I love Love LOVE this game. Top 5, for sure.
Mirror’s Edge is one of the more original games I’ve picked up and played in a long time. When I first saw the trailer I was blown away by the graphics and overall concept, so I was anxious to try it out and see if it measured up to my expectations. For the most part, I can say that it does. You play as Faith, who is a “runner” (basically a courier) in the not-too-distant-future in which the government has taken complete control of everything and menacing storm troopers are everywhere, ready to shoot anyone who dares step out of line. There’s a ‘story’ to speak of, but I didn’t find it particularly compelling. Basically Faith’s sister is wrongly accused of murder and Faith needs to try to free her, all the while trying not to get killed or captured herself as she works to unravel the mystery behind some businessman’s death. There are a few not-too-shocking developments and plot turns but the story really takes a backseat to the overall gameplay. To be honest, I found the cut-scenes that advanced the story to be a bit annoying, as I really just wanted to keep playing through the game. The gameplay is more or less awesome. Movements seem fluid and accurate when you are running, though it definitely takes some practice to pull off some of the trickier moves like wall-jumps and wall-climbing. The game does a great job with the overall physics. Most impressive is the accurate sense of speed and momentum you get as you start to run, build up speed, hurdle over obstacles, and p.
