I don’t play many videos games at all, and the only ones I do are Street Fighters. With that said, I’ve always been a huge fan of the first and second Marvel vs. Capcom 3 games, and so far this one doesn’t disappoint. The new buttons need some getting used to, but I really enjoy the comic-book flavor of the entire game, and how the graphics really do make the game look like you’re playing within one. I wish there were more characters however, but I suspect Capcom will be releasing more down the line through DLC (although this would make the game worse, since Capcom charges an arm and a leg for DLC and new characters). The game is versatile in the way that people with little to no skill in the game can do a lot of things and have fun, and is challenging and complex enough to keep combo-thirsty veterans engaged for long periods of time. Overall a great game (although I prefer Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition because it’s not as “crazy” as this game with 10,000 characters flying across the screen). A good buy.
Awesome game
This game is the best of its genre. I was a little bummed out when I found out and Ultimate MVC3 is going to be released, but it’s still a great game.
too bad it doesnt have a story mode by overall its fun, it have like 36 characters to choose from and it have need exclusive people such as Dante
Came two days earlier than expected. Amazing quality, no scratches on the disk however it was slightly dirty. Did not come in a case but was safely wrapped in bubble wrap. Game is incredibly fun I’ve played for hours, an amazing flashy fighter with your favorite Capcom AND Marvel characters. Comes with online modes and tons of unloveable sounds, outfits, and stickers.
Finally a new Marvel vs. Capcom game. Yeah I got this a long time ago, but it is still a great game.
Very fun game, missing some characters I would’ve like to have returned from 2, but not really complaining. Also, I really like the graphics and animations. The goings-on on screen can get quite overwhelming, though.
As of this review, Capcom has announced that Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 will be released November. However, if you can find this game at a discounted price I’d still say it’s worthwhile to try out so you get a better feel for the game should you decide to get serious about the game. On with the review.MvC3 is simply a cool game. With the previous crossover games old sprites were simply used and mashed together making for odd looking games. However, with MvC3 we get to see many new characters in full 3D glory. It is just amazing to look at this game in action. On top of being a very cool game it’s also very fun. Characters are varied and distinct. You’ll really just want to pick one character and stick to it because even though the game is initially easy to get into, fully understanding each character takes a lot of work and time.Unfortunately there are some problems I wish weren’t so apparent. In terms of graphics, the game is seizure inducing (even the game itself warns this). There are so many moments that will make you wonder what the heck is going on when you first get into it and after that it’s just the constant flashes of bright explosions that start to bug. I honestly wish they had something where you could turn off the many bright flashes. In terms of gameplay there are a couple of glitches in the game which will kind of make you feel like the game is broken. Not necessarily but I almost feel like most of my matches are to see who can take full advantage of the.
It’s great
From the very second I popped it in my PS3 (and waited like 5 to 10 minutes to install) the game totally consumed my attention. I imediately opened up the booklet and started learning Deadpool’s moves. Teleporting is fun, when it works… but his combos are awesome. Nolan North reprises his role and Dp’s line are as random and funny as ever. (I especially like the moonwalking) However, this game is all about Deadpool (even if it I wish it was) so I’ll get on with the rest of the game. I’ll be quite honest, I bought the game for the fact that it’s a Marvel game, not because it’s Capcom. I don’t really care about most of Capcom’s roster, the only one I usually play as is Dante. The Marvel side of the roster though, I frequently fight as good amount of them. By now it should be obvious that I play as Deadpool for the majority of my playtime. I also enjoy his fellow weapon x subjects; Wolverine and X-23. Taskmaster is also pretty dope with his cast arsenal of replicated weaponry. Sentinal’s massive bulk is fun to use, but looks kind of awkward when towering over smaller characters like Amaterasu or Viewtiful J. Ironman is as aswesome as always; the photon canon is rediculously fun. I think that about wraps it for my favored characters. Gameplay is fun, but I’m not quite used to it yet. I’ve noticed that people seem to complain a lot about the flashing and such. I honestly didn’t mind it. I was slightly disapointed with the arcade mode, it felt too short, but the endings kind’a ma.
