This is the BEST DAMN FIGHTING GAME PERIOD. MVC 2 lets you chose from 56 fighters 3 at a time for a 3 on 3 match against the computer or a human opponent. The gameplay is fantastic. They even offer a easy mode for the beginners. The music for the game is not dramatic like the other crossover fighters and the 1 player mode doesen’t have a story to it. But who needs that anyway. This game is so very very valuable that anybody would be crazy to sell it. This is by far one of the best 2d fighters ever made!!!!!!!
I have the same game and itĆ¢ā¬ā¢s in good condition nothing wrong with it and I say this is one of the best games to still surface so yes itĆ¢ā¬ā¢s a rare game to have
I used to play this game a while back then bought the game recently and it certainly does not disappoint. I’ve always been a huge Street Fighter fan as well as that of Marvel comics (especially the X-men). The game is really fun to play even up to this day. I just love doing those dream matches that I never imagined would be in a fighting game. I still play it from time to time now that my attention now switched to this new crossover fighting game that pits characters from Marvel, DC, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, and several other fighting games all into one huge game (see ). Anyways, I give Marvel vs Capcom 2 thumbs up in all categories (gameplay, replay value, fun, graphics). I recommend that you get it or regret it! (The price will keep going up as this game becomes rarer in the future).
This is by far my favorite 2D fighter. The graphics are superb and the controlls are excellent. The greatest pirk is the number of characters you can play as! New character include Jill Valentine, Hayato, Ruby, T.Bonne, B.B.Hood and Servbot on the Capcom side and Thanos, Cable, Magnito and Doctor Doom on the Marvel side. You can also play as characters from Marvel V.S Capcom and Marvel V.S Street Fighter. You can spend hours making a variety of teams that have skills or powers that complement each other perfectly (my team is Jill, Strider, Spider-man) or cool themed teams like X-men blue team (Wolverene, Gambit, Rouge)guarenteed to be played for hours.
I love it
As a comics & Street Fighter fan I loved this game. Part of me wishes they had made one with 56 marvel characters only because there’s no shortage of names they could’ve used but this is right up there with Marvel Ultimate Alliance for best useage of the Marvel brand in a video game.So glad Capcom got the Marvel License as long as it did.
As I sit here playing Marvel vs Capcom 2, I start to think about arcade to console ports. Mostly I think it’s just a way to make a quick buck, and I am probably right. Though, sometimes it really pays off (no pun intended). This game was a blast to play in the arcades and is just as fun on the home versions. The first time I played this was at my friend Bill’s house, he kept beating me, I was upset.Even though I kept losing against my friend there was one thing I didn’t fail to notice; this is a great home/arcade fighting game! There are a lot of new fighting games out now, and this one is showing it’s age but that doesn’t make it any less fun! After so many years ‘Marvel vs. Capcom 2′ can still compete with all the new fighters *soul caliber 2, mortal kombat DA*.You get a total of 56 *!* characters to choose from, some old, some new; and you pick three. This really is a tag team game, street fighter/marvel style. You have classic street fighter characters, marvle comic characters, and then other capcom characters (including resident evils Jill Valentine , my personal favorite). This is basically mindless button mashing fun!The aformentioned fighting games are still worth checking out by the way though, that’s no excuse to ignore Marvel vs. Capcom 2. It’s not deep, nor does it require a lot of thinkin’ that more modern fighters require; but it is a great arcade game that translated very well onto home systems *I’m not sure about the xbox version, I haven’t played it*.This is both a.
I really enjoyed playing this game on the ps2 and i didn’t even play it that much when it barely came out in the arcades around the year 2000, i had no idea how great this game would be even after more than 10 years after it’s original arcade release! To be honest this version is okay but for tournament play i suggest the dreamcast version instead, although most tournaments won’t be holding tournaments for this game anymore unless they’re underground type tournaments or just for fun.
I purchased this game a while back when the version for the ps3 was also coming out. I just wanted to relive the good old ps2 days of playing this game with friends. Game came in great condition, the shop took great care in keeping it over the years. Definitely a collectors item in my eye.
Capcom lives for crossing their marvelous fighting creations with anyone who is willing to challenge their authority. Marvel stepped into the light yet again for this classic port originally released on Dreamcast. I feel that Capcom made the right move putting Jill Valentine into the fray, seeing as how she is the COOLEST thing in video games since Super Mario to me. Among Jill, new characters include Tron Bonne (Megaman fame), Storm (X-Men fame) and MANY MANY others. The graphics are fluid and never miss a beat, and the music makes you want to slam some heads. Even though this game is a hard gem to find, if you find it (or still own it) I suggest you hold onto it. You’ll miss it if you loose it. **Graphics-5/5. A very fluid 2-D fighter, among the sea of so many others. The background is 3-D, so it is really cool to see those to dimensions compliment each other so well. I would say the graphics are crystal clear. **Sound-4/5. Well, the music can be really annoying when you are getting your a$$ handed to you, so when the heat picks up, you’ll probably be hating the soundtrack. Hearing a fist hit a face sounds really good, though! **Controls-5/5. About as straightfoward as a 2-D fighting game could be. You really step up and handle your stuff with these controls. Definetly an improvement over the Dreamcast version. **Overall-10/5. This game is hot. I recommend it to anyone. It hasn’t been this fun to see a fight since Kelly Ripa and Kathy Lee! If you are a.
