My 8 year old son has had a blast playing this game.
Actually looked a lot better than I thought, and for the price, it beats the heck out of other more expensive systems.
I love football and I love video games. This game exceeded my expectations considering how cheap it was so it is definitely worth buying if you own a Wii U.
My nephew loves it..
Grandson loved it. Plays it a lot and he loves the interaction.

So I can understand the frustration of those who have played previous versions of Madden, i.e.: that Connected Careers does seem pretty silly, useless, and generally a pain to set up and comprehend. Aside from that, if you’re like me and have time only for a quick exhibition game, this meets the bill. Albeit, the start up could be a lot faster. I believe the previous versions of Madden had a season you could set up and this Connected careers is supposed to replace that, clearly a bad idea. I think I would like the season aspect, maybe even win a Superbowl. But this version no such luck. So playing a quick game with really great graphics will have to suffice. This Wii U version vis a vis the gamepad is probably the best part. Being able to pick all your plays, and draw offensive and defensive routes is pretty cool. I have the new Wii Pro controller to get that Xbox experience. It works but I still revert to the Gamepad.
