The thing that most of the people are doing here is judging the game within one day of their purchase. I don’t know about you but I never enjoy a game until I have figured out all of the controls. I have now had the game for two and a half weeks and I have to say that I do enjoy it. I am a die hard NFL fan and a Marine who is serving over seas in the Middle East and all I can say is that myself and the many other Marines that are stationed with me find this game to be one of the best ways to relieve stress. The dynasty mode only lacks on thing and that is the fantasy draft. However the game play is faster and much smother then that of the previous year. I even think the graphics got a little bit better. People complain about the difficulty either it being to easy or to hard. The fix is simple change the AI settings. To sum up I truly enjoy the game and I think that EA did a much better job then they did last year. Do they have some things to improve on yes? However it will not keep me from playing this game until next years version comes out.
I got this game yesterday (release day), and i am happy with it, after being let down by NCAA 07 for 360, it lacked all the features that the curnet gen consolse have.Madden 07 Has a great gameplay for superstar mode, where you get to create your own player, and control them whenever they are on the field. I made a halfback and I love being able to block for the Q and other things that you cant really do in previous games without someone else controling them.My only critisim of the game so far is that the camrea angle for superstar mode needs to be moved back some. (because you can see more of the field in real life than this camera angle from two feet behind you… it really stands out when you are returning a kickoff and you think you can go wide around your blockers, but you cant because there is a guy that you cannot see. Also when you are doing a passing route it is difficult to see where the ball is, but that is for me playing a halfback not a WR so it may be diffrent for that.Still the best football game out there. I personally have not had any problems with loading time, or lag during online play, i wonder if other reviewers have a faulty 360, or if mine is just super studly ;)

Madden 07 greatly Improves the running game and it also chronicles the best season of the ever fighting on… SEAHAWKS!!!. A well done sequal to the smash hit series.
I am writing this review to set the record straight. There are way too many reviews on this forum that make it seem like EA has just thrown some half-a** game together with no regard for their fans. People’s reviews are claiming that the graphics and animations are nothing but well polished last gen graphics. This is simply and utterly false. Perhaps they are playing this game on a standard TV instead of Hi-Def or VGA higher resolution.For starters, the graphics in this game are absurdly good, probably the best I’ve seen in a sports title for the 360. The player models are insanely detailed right down to the sweat running the down the player’s skin to the reflections in the helmet to the pores and textures in their uniforms to the faces and body types that are personalized for each player. The game even renders close-ups of the huddles and line-ups that are just breath-taking. Surely, this effort did not come from EA just throwing a title together because they knew regardless of what they released, that their fans would take the bait. This is certainly not the case. Graphically, this game has set the bar for other sports titles and it has set it quite high and for future Madden titles.Despite the lack of competition with other vendors now that EA has the monopoly on the NFL license, they still gave this game endless effort and attention in hopes to keep Madden fans around. Madden didn’t become one of the most talked about sports titles out of random circumstance. It.
I’ve been playing this game since the beginning and there have been some years where the gameplay is awesome and some where it is the same as last year. There are enough changes in the game to make it worth the purchase but let’s face it, this is as close as it gets to the real thing. The blocking control is great on most run plays and really adds another dimension to the running game. Passing has been pretty much the same for a couple of years but there really isn’t anything that you could do to make it better. The superstar mode is fun but only if you are a running back or a quarterback. Any other position is hard to play because of the limited camera. Especially on defense where you can’t look around because the same pad for the look function is the hit stick. The other problem that I have and others have expressed is the Hall of Famers that get dropped into the free agent pool. My suggestion is to save a roster when you first start the game and then load that every time you start a new franchise. Just make sure you don’t use the quick save function because it will save over your roster changes. These minor things do have a pretty big impact on the game which is why I knocked it down one star on fun and overall. This is still a really fun game even if there are a lot of things that you could pick apart.
Ok, so this game received horrible reviews but Hubby still insisted he wanted it. The graphics are great and he does seem to like it. If you are really picky then this is probably not the game for you. If you want to play a sports game and not put so much thinking into it, then buy it. If you have people over or a party and you want to play a game, then buy it… people will be happy playing this over channel flipping any day.
My Son collects all Madden’s, He’s happy.
