Great game play it most weekend with my family
18 yr old son says: likes it cuz its like an arcade game. Does not like the story line "its not good".Playability is pretty smooth, and entertaining. its basically like the older versions with new controls and weapons.Violent for sure, but the rating says so.
As a Twisted Metal fan, I was pleased to see a new release of the franchise for PS3. The cut scenes for the various character stories was the first thing I noticed about the game that I absolutely loved – appropriately dark themed, brutal and disturbing, each story is a unique, engaging experience. However, some characters that appear in the game do not make their way into the playable story mode, which was disappointing, I feel like Twisted Metal fell a bit short in this aspect. The cut scenes are so well designed that you wish they would have gone all the way to incorporate everyone in the game. Thus, the campaign mode isn’t extensive as it should have been. Still, the game is a great experience from beginning to end, just not perfect.

It is very hard to live up to such a timeless classic of a predecessor like Twisted Metal 2, but this game comes as close as it has come since. Game play looks great and flows smoothly. The only reason its not 5 stars is that it would seem you can only do story mode as 3 characters, I fear they did this so they can charge for DLC to get the other characters story lines.
This is much better than I expected. If you are on the fence, rent it, get together with some drinking buddies and play the split screen. Prepare to laugh. I forgot how fun these car combat games are. I think the last ones I played were Twisted Metal 2 and Diddy Kong Racing! This is fun, chaotic, and hillarious.And yes, as some others have noted, the controls are a little tricky, but it only adds to the fun. You’ll have them down after 6 or 7 rounds.I took a chance on this one. I really wasn’t expecting much, but it’s a blast.

This game is amazing!! The best twisted metal in a long time!! Get the game!! If you need reviews and previews go to game trailers, but I personally played it and hands down. Finally a good twisted metal since twisted metal 2 on playstation 1.
Gave as a gift and she’s been playing it non stop. Awesome game for the price. And graphics aren’t too shabby either. Worth every penny.
