The game is great and worth getting but the music (all of it)sucks. One track in particular- Stroll Around the World is pure garbage and annoying as hell. It’s on one of the earlier levels so it must be endured every single time you play. I have not played the first Lumines but if it has the same gameplay and better music you should probably get that one instead.
Hey sports fans. What we have here is a very addicting puzzle game for the PSP. Time really flies by when you’re playing this one. I’ll admit there is a bit of a learning curve at first, but you’ll soon grasp the game and some strategies as well. Additionally, the graphics are amazing, and a really cool soundtrack too. If you like puzzle games, as I do, I trust you’ll love this game too. Have a great day.
this one has some pretty hard levels to be able to see. you really have to be able to concentrate on the details of the shapes. the hardest for me is a black and white outline level. you really have to go hard to beat that one.
Good game, really draws you in. The music is awesome and very good at keeping your attention on what youre doing. You also have to love the backgrounds for each song, it is really trippy most of the time.
Good
I’m not typically a big puzzle gamer, but every once in a while something comes along that gets such praise I just want to check it out. That was the case with Lumines, and it turns out that it’s tremendously addictive. It has that Tetris block-style formula that’s very easy to learn, but difficult to master as the levels get more difficult. The soundtrack and aesthetic of this game are very crisp and solid, with artists like Chemical Brothers, Beck, New Order, and Missy Elliott, and after a while kind of puts you in a trance. Very enjoyable, and very easy to play in short bursts if you can keep it from sucking you in.It also holds its age very well, IMO, as I still find myself picking it up every now and again.
Could spend hours playing this game. It’s like Tetris but more fun and with cool music and colors.
This game takes a bit of time getting used to, but it can be quite fun. I am a fan of Tetris, but since it’s not available on PSP, Lumines was the closest thing to it. I don’t like the music the game tries to tout, but no big deal….I commute to work by train everyday, an hour each way, and this game is a good time-killer.
This game is amazing. Doesn’t get boring even if it appears repetitive. Currently I am 80% done with the game and I’ve had it for a few months. Very high replay value. The music on the other hand is not the best, but it entertains.
If you never played the original Lumines I suggest you pick part two especially for the cheap price tag.Game play is very simple but you don’t play this game for for the simplicity but for the great music.Part one does have better songs but will never get bored with it.This version does have more songs and a lot more features. You simply can’t go wrong.
