Great value for the money.
I finally bought this recently after all the positive reviews I’ve read. For around 15 bucks I can’t complain.The good:- Graphics – fun and colorful- Tracks: varied and more consistent in my opinion than Mario Kart- Online matchmaking doesn’t drop much like Mario Kart doesThe bad:- Drifting but no drafting (riding close behind other cars- Courses take less skill than Mario Kart- Characters: feels a little lacking. While I can’t think of someone specifically left out I’m sure Sega could have included more (Panzer Dragoon or a Virtua Racing car maybe)?- Unlockables are easy to get and side missions are fun and variedSo that’s basically it. I’ve been playing this for maybe 10 hours and am far from sick of it. While not a Mario Kart killer it’s definitely a respectable copy that’s easy to pick up
My 4-year old grandsons love this game, and I’m sure they’ll still be playing it until they’re at least 8-12 years old.
I downloaded this demo and it was so much fun I decided to buy it. If you love “Kart” games and are a SEGA fan like myself, then this game is for you. I think this game is WAY more fun then any of the recent Mario Kart games and has a massive amount of fan service. You can play as almost everyone from the Sonic universe and each has a unique special move. My personal favortie is Ryo Hazuki from the beloved Shenmue series. It also has other characters from various dreamcast titles. The gameplay is awesome and the controls are very responsive. Each track was developed with exquisite detail in every part of the map. The soundtrack is fun and catchy and also very nostolgic. Not only will this game appeal to the SEGA fanboy but it fun for the whole family (cheesy, but true). Online racing is very fun it is great to make friends with other SEGA fans. I am being totally unbias in my opinion and giving a very honest review. (It’s not like SEGA is paying me or anything. Hell we dont even have a Shenmue 3. I need closure!) Anyhow, this is an overall great game. I hope you wont be dissappointed. I wasn’t.
I was looking for a game to play with my 8 year old daughter that we would both like. We both really like Sonic Sega All-Stars. Two player mode uses a split screen and is very fun to play. There are lots of "race tracks" to try out and several non-racing games (for example one where you have to grab and item with your car and then return it to your circle before the other player clobbers you and makes you drop it). There are lots of fun characters/cars to choose from. Music/announcer is fun.
This is a decent game for the price, they have lots of different tracks. The colors, animations and all the extra junk going on around the tracks is a little distracting and annoying…I just want to race. You can throw bombs and stuff at other players. It is a little chaotic, but still fun. It’s worth the $20.00 if you play with your kids.
Played this when my kids were young and had fun with them and I still have fun with this now
My 7-year old loves anything Sonic. He’s usually more into the old school sonic games but we got this on a whim and he ended up really liking it. I can’t lie I do as well. We get pretty competitive playing this game but all in good fun. Doesn’t bore us like a lot of other games. We could play forever.
I got this for my kids, ages 13 and 5, after watching them really enjoy the demo. They had so much fun that I just had to get it for them as a surprise. The game is a terrific price, so it was a no brainer. Once the game arrived the kids were overjoyed and played it all day; it was great to hear their laughter and enjoyment. Then I got to playing it and got hooked. It is really good, clean fun. The graphics and performance of the game are great. One of the more enjoyable games I’ve seen.
This is the best karting title on the Xbox platform! Very comparable to MarioCart 64. There is plenty of vehicles/characters to choose from and the tracks are excellent. Some are wide and fast, others more technical. There are lots of missions for single player, but the real shine for this game is the multiplayer. There could be more weapons, but the simplicity means anyone of any age can pick this game up and play it with ease.
