This game has some really cool songs for a lot of them for the price I paid. I mainly bought it to download all the song in my PS3, so I can play them in my RB2.
I’m a huge fan of guitar hero and rock band and I just transferred to PS3 and I couldn’t find this game cheaper anywhere so I had to get this deal! THANK YOU!!
LEGO & Rockband. What more can I say? Oh yeah… EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!!! Everything is cool when you’re part of a team!
Great edition of RB, nice to get some modern music, as well as a few of my favorite classics. It really doesn’t feel at all like the other Lego titles out lately, even though it clearly uses the same modeling.Pros:* The added Super Easy modes make it easier for younger players (or really drunk older players ;) to play along without getting booed off stage, our 3.5 year old loves to play drums to Queen’s “We Will Rock You”.* Story mode has a great set of animatics before/after some of the key gigs, and some fun little challenges to tie the story to the game beyond a simple “career mode”.* for $10 the songs can be exported (really, downloaded again… kinda annoying) to other RB games* it can play DLC that is rated PG, including some tracks you can’t buy in the Lego RB music store. (bug? we have track pack 1 and the classic rock track pack, there are several tracks that it imports from them that can be bought from the RB music store as individual tracks, but NOT in the lego filtered version… it’s like the music store in the game uses different filters than the import logic does.)* several great songs, it’s kinda fun to hear some of these come on the local radio station and think “hey, we were playing that the other night!”* auto calibration if you have a recent guitar that’s compatible with it.Cons:* Some of the tracking was clearly not gone over with a fine tooth comb like the ones for Beatles RB were. There are a number of tracks where you’ll be going along with a nice solid.
The song selection is great, a lot fun songs. The only con is no online play which is not that a big deal.
Love this game, and the storyline is great!Pros: Personally, I enjoy nearly all the songs Funny storyline and gameplay that is great for kids and adults. It was nice of them to choose songs that were more appropriate.Cons: Too much repetition of songs. For example, I’d play a new song for the first time, then do a random gig and it would almost always be included in the random set, often as the very next song.
We picked this up at a local store during a summer video game clearance event. Our family already owns RB1, RB2, and RB3. I thought my 3 daughters might appreciate this since they like Legos, and I figured if nothing else at least it is another collection of songs to play. It is basically the same Rockband game you are used to but it adds little Lego people videos in between various parts of the game that add the humor you may have experienced if you have ever played a Lego videogame. As a matter of fact, as I am typing this review my daughters are using the video playback feature in the game to rewatch the videos they have nlocked so far and are laughing their heads off. The base character customization is pretty limited but as you progress in the game you unlock new things to buy as with the other Rockband games. The game adds a super easy mode that is good for younger players. For example, when playing the guitar on super easy, you need only strum at the correct time. Although the colored notes still appear and can be fingered, you are not penalized for pressing the wrong notes. This additional setting makes the game even more all inclusive for the family. I picked it up for under $10, and considering it would cost that much for one adult movie ticket, this was money well spent for fun for the entire family.
We have a four and five-year-old in the house and after getting Beatles rock band we wanted something like it that was a bit easier for the kids to play. This was it! It has a nice mix of songs for every one and lots of songs for download too. the super easy setting makes a nice intro into rock band games for kids and helps them get the hang of the very basics of the game. All around i would say its a nice game for kids and has all the fun of rock band for adults.
Our 6 year old hasn’t always been able to play rock band very well, but this is awesome. We played it 4 hours the first night we got it. So much easier (on easy, he does not get penalized if he doesn’t strum or strums off beat).
Okay so generally I’m not a big fan of the lego games, I used to be a huge lego fan before I entered high school but slowly lost interest over the years and the only real lego game i played was lego star wars and lego island when i was a kid. A few months ago I bought my first rock band game Rock Band 3 and immediately fell in love and started purchasing more instruments and DLC for it. I somehow found out about this game and decided to give it a run through for easy trophies before i go back to school, as well as export the songs like I did from my rented copy of Rock Band 2, and rented it from the library. When I put it in I immediately noticed all songs were available to play right from the start in quick play which is an improvement from rock band 2 since that game forced you to play career to unlock songs. As for career mode, that is really the main focus of this game, and it is pretty interesting although highly repetitive. Pretty much you play different gigs in different venues and the most stars and gigs you go through the more vehicles you unlock and progress in the main story, which is pretty silly but what can you expect from lego. Thats basically what you will be doing a majority of the story, some setlists are chosen by the game and others you get to chose for gigs, and as you progress you also unlock different managers and entourage members who allow you to make more fans and money per gigs. You can use this money to buy new furniture for you den area, which all.
