Kingdom Hearts is the story of Sora, a 14-year-old boy whose world is shattered when a violent storm hits his island-paradise home, and he is separated from his two closest friends, Riku, a 15 year-old boy, and Kairi, a 14 year old girl. At the same time, there is turmoil in Disney castle. King Mickey is missing, and Court Wizard Donald and Captain Goofy set out to find him. On their travels they meet Sora on his own search for his lost friends. The three are told of ominous creatures known as the Heartless – beings without hearts derived from an unknown dimension and as it turns out, manipulated by Disney villains and the ones responsible for the devastating storm. Upon discovering the link between the Heartless, the storm and the disappearance of King Mickey, Sora, Donald and Goofy join forces and help familiar Disney heroes to save their worlds from the Heartless.

I played this game when it came out and i remember i was in the seventh grade. This game was so awesome when it came out. Once you start visiting all the disney worlds you can’t help but get engrossed in the game. The fighting system is very basic, as you only attack with your keyblade, magic is for the most part not very useful except for healing. This game is quite long, back when i played it on normal i remeber finishing it after 60 hours that i put on it. For a game with disney characters you would think this game is for kids but it is actually quite hard and I have no idea how a little kid would ever be able to pass this game. If you like final fantasy, you should get this game, if you like disney movies, you should also get this game.
I love both Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2. I am glad they improved upon some toggling issues in the second game as well as selection issues as well as issues concerning your team such as if you would try to lift a box your teammates would be in the way and the box would break or drop (no lifting boxes in the 2nd game). If you have played the game you know what I am talking about. Toggling issues pertaining to the view of looking up and down to scroll around you are better in the second game as well and without interference from walls as well. There are other selection issues that are avoided in the sequel, but you will see the difference in the game play for yourselves. Even though game play has improved in the second game; both games have their charms to them and both games have great story lines and interesting ways to interact with people and the game on a whole.
We have all heard that "Kingdom Hearts is just so beast!" from all of our Playstation gaming friends, but this title really lives up to the hype. The first in a series of games that combines the magic of disney with the thrill of Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts is a greatest hit legend that is sure to live on throughout the upcoming generations of Gaming.
Kingdom Hearts is, without a doubt, one of the best RPGs out there! It is centered around a lovable cast, and an unforgettable plot. It is chock full of exciting battles and heartwarming scenes. It is the kind of thing that can be enjoyed whether you are a child or adult, I think. Certainly it is one of Square Enix’s best productions! Overall, I believe that Kingdom Hearts is a solid purchase, and worth every penny that it costs!Package arrival: The delivery was prompt, and the parcel arrived earlier than I had expected. The game was in immaculate condition. It had clearly been handled with care during its shipping.Below I will touch on some of the game’s specifics.Mechanics: It may take some time to adjust to the controls (such as having to press O to jump rather than X like you would in other games), but after some practice they become second nature to the player. Although the command menu appears daunting at first it also becomes something that you come to know like the back of your hand. Once you acquire different spells you will be able to assign certain ones to certain keys, making casting quick and easy (this is handy especially when you are in a sticky situation).Gameplay: Kingdom Hearts is a very adventure-oriented game. In order to uncover treasure as well as progress the plot you will need to be up for a great deal of exploration. While wandering about you will get to take a trip down memory lane as you traipse around the lands of the Disney characters you undou.

This game is incredible and is easily in my top 10 favorite Video Games of all time.Graphics – The Grapics for this game are amazing even after 8 years. 10/10Story – This game along with the others in the series have the best story ever written! I love the story of Kingdom hearts! 10/10Gameplay – The Gameplay is really really fun! There is alot of spells and different keyblades you can use to fight with. I love having donald and goofy fighting by my side also! 10/10Controls/Camera – The controls are pretty much you basic platformer and the camera is really great also. 10/10Replay Value – This game is really great and you will probally wanna another run through. There is also tons of extra stuff to do. As for the main story its about 20-25 hours. 9/10Overall – Overall this game is a masterpiece and is very well done! Although not as good as its sequel (KH2 is my favorite game of all time) its still an instant classic! If you have not played this buy it now! Overall Score 9.8/10
I did things a little backwards and tried defeating Kingdom Hearts ll before Kingdom Hearts l, and where KH ll is ridiculously difficult at times, I found KH l to be ridiculously easy. I guess they went from one extreme to the other. Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed the game, I just found it kinda effortless how basically all the bosses required little effort with not even as much as a greatly higher life meter. Even the big final battle was generally the same as all the rest; just swing mercilessly until they run out of life and you’ll get there eventually because they don’t do much in return except for look big and bad. At the same time, there was A LOT I enjoyed more about the first than the second game. For example, I liked how the MP guage restored with every strike as opposed to automatically, how eventually you can equip glide (which is as fun as it is helpful) and I also really liked the use of trinity. Overall, I love the Kingdom Hearts games. I love the Disney tie-in, the story lines, and even the places are beautiful and detailed and interesting. A really fun game, I give it 2 thumbs up!
Nothing like Final Fantasy, but this game follows a God-of-War style gameplay, with a great plot. With a lot to collect, and explore, the game is great. However, since the game’s worlds are not connected, it takes away from the exploration prospect. Other than that, this game is great for any RPG, or even Action fans.
The disc arrived sealed in the box and had no scratches and the artwork was included in the box.Gameplay is amazing and the story is interesting! The graphics are impressive for PS2 generation games and the game in my opinion has great replay value.Overall Kingdom Hearts is a great PS2 game and I went out and bought a used PS2 purely so I could play this game again and relive my childhood. 5/5 stars!!!!
