I purchased this in the launch day and the game is entertaining for people who love explore and collect stuff like every Ubisoft game but the main campaing is short, for lucky received free update for more stuff to explore and collect. But when I discovered this pack was in sale on December 2018…damn…I almost cried…if is still in sale or half price…JUST DO IT! XD
Great deal. The only flaw is you have to buy the other accessories. Which I feel you can earn in the game. But these aren’t the good old gaming days.
I wanted an excuse to buy spaceship toys to play a video game… now the toys are more played with than the game itself.
Amazing game, I love every moment of it! Only downside is that I want to collect every single ship but they’re no longer available in my country anymore, which means I have to wait a few weeks for them to arrive from retrolio. Still would recommend to starfox fans/space lovers/ubisoft fans!
Great deal! Everything was there and game is fun to play
The game is great though. One of the only I have seen where you can flight on one planet, take off into space to another planet and land there all seamlessly. No annoying loading screens. It also has the physical toy that interacts with the game.It is such a fun concept, being able to change parts or pilots on your toy to have it appear in game. The unfortunately thing that I believe really killed many people getting into it was the expense of the add-ons. They range between $10-20 and only give you a few pieces. Wish they would have liked it with the amigos.
Honestly, I only got this for the Arwing ship. However, the game turned out to be pretty decent, so I’m happy with the purchase overall, as it was over 50% off at the time of buying. However, if you are looking to save money, don’t care about the toys, and want to have all the content in the game, I would advise you simply purchase the digital deluxe edition.Plus, buying digital deluxe gives you the advantage of not having to swap out the toys all the time for new ships and power ups. You can just change it all from the pause menu, and you don’t need to eventually reconnect each toy you have so that your game continues to give you access to that specific item.If you buy this starter pack, you will need to purchase additional ships, weapons, etc, and if you want everything, it will total up a good amount more than the price of just getting the deluxe edition. Also, note that buying another physical ship or item, with this starter edition, is not a permanent unlock in the game. You can connect any given item, and you’ll have access to that item for a few days, without having to connect it again, allowing you to use them as if they were owned digitally and swap quickly. After a few days, you’ll need to connect the item again for it to be available in game once more, whereas with the digital version, once you own it, you own it. Something to think about if the intended player loses or breaks stuff easily. The game itself, while nowhere near a masterpiece of gaming, is simple and fun.
Let me be clear: I only bought this game because Star Fox and the Arwing are in it. This was entirely a de facto Starfox holdover game to me. That being said, the game is moderately fun though it can get repetitive and a little too easy. The Arwing model is effing sweet and much bigger than I thought it would be. You can even adjust the wings and laser cannons. I’d pay $30 just for the airship.
Got it cheap. Worth so much to me as an old star fox fan. Otherwise storyline was generic and didn’t care for any of the original characters. Game is trying real hard to milk money. But gameplay was very fun (recommend playing on hard, unless it’s for your kids)
Very fun game. The paint job on the pilots aren’t great, and whenever you attach or detach something, it feels like you’re scratching off some of the material, but the arming looks great if you want to display it while mounted on the controller. Speaking of the controller, while you’re holding it with the joy cons in, it doesn’t really feel right. It feels clunky. Also, if you have the ship on the controller, it feels odd at first, but you get used to it.
