This is by far one of my favorite controllers of all time now, previously I have purchase a SNES30 and I loved it, but it lacked additional buttons that many games now a days require, in comes the SN30 PRO, it fixes every single problem… is what I would say if there was a problem but the standard SNES30 did the job this only ADDs functionality to a already perfect controller and its ABSOLUTE GENIUS.The analog sticks are just perfect, smooth and responsive, the DPAD is now even better its so good that I am absolutely going to pickup a standard SN30 just because the DPAD has been improved so much over the SNES30 , and the LR buttons are now probably the greatest shoulder buttons I have ever used, the lack of analog doesnt matter at this point the L2 and R2 buttons are SO SATISFYING to push over and over again, its perfection, 8bitdo may have created what I personally consider the greatest controller of all time, at least for me it is.That doesnt even scratch the surface of how compatible the controller is with pretty much everything thanks to both its USB C connection and the Bluetooth 4.1 connection, my only gripe is it wasnt Bluetooth 4.2, that would of been even better.Now the only bad thing I could possibly think of would be the fact the one I received had a defective USB C cable, I can’t charge my controller at all and I also can’t use it in wired mode, this is pretty bad and honestly I’ve only ever had this problem with the Flat cables 8bitdo includes, my SNES30 had the.
Feels super familiar & comfortable (but just like original SNES, it’s not very ergonomic, but still I love it!). I’m glad I paid more for something that works on 4 diff platforms. With the analog sticks, I wouldn’t carry this in my back pocket, but it does have a very low profile and store nicely in my VR headset. NOTE: I also plunked down another $8 for the phone attachment, which is rate a 4 = high quality, snug fit, and strong clamp, but does make controller a lil too heavy… a 4 for balance.
Seems like a great controller. I’m just annoyed they sent me the wrong one when I clearly picked a different version. Thing is people are stupid… I hope robots take their jobs sooner.
Very good, works well with my PC and Switch. I also got this for my iOS devices, but unfortunately it has a very noticeable input lag when using firmware v1.34. I was able to get this to work with iOS without lag by downgrading and using v1.33 firmware from 8bitdo’s website.Would have gotten a 5 star if they’re most recent firmware didnt cause any input lag.
The first controller I order lasted just a couple months and would not charge suddenly. The shop was quick to jump in and rectify the situation. The controller is reminiscent of playing Super Nintendo when i was a much younger man. I use it with my raspberry pi and emulation station. I have used it on a pc and it works great. Feels great in your hands.
I absolutely love this controller it fits perfectly in your hands and is extremely versatile it has so much nostalgia and if it wasn’t for the joysticks and the extra bumpers you would think it’s a classic Super Nintendo controller, the quality is there with this controller and it has become my favorite controller surpassing the wireless GameCube controller, in my opinion this controller is only missing one thing that would complete this and is the only thing that is keeping me from giving a 5 star.. sadly there is no way to turn on the switch with this controller and that is the only down side I have to say about it. Other than that it’s a great controller that offers motion and rumble great for its price. Just uhh 8bitdo please add the feature to turn on the switch like other controllers offer.
Awesome, we love being able to use the old game controller on the switch. My brother and I got some of the Mega Man X games for the switch that we used to always play on the Super Nintendo and its almost the same, and we don’t even have to worry about tripping over cords
Shoulder buttons are a bit awkward and with no standard hand grips, the thumbsticks also feel awkward. Also there’s no way to swap around a/b x/y in xinput mode so that button prompts actually match the buttons on the controller.
Needed a real controller with a solid +control pad for classic gaming on my Switch, and the reviews here and on YouTube made this out to be the choice. For the record – I’m not disappointed with its performance in the slightest. The +control pad is great for eShop arcade titles, New Super Mario U Deluxe, Sega Genesis Classics, and the NES Online games, and the thumb sticks are good for games like Mario Kart – so it’s going to serve you as a great addition to your controller lineup. It’s even got rumble and motion controls that work admirably well!Where it stumbles slightly, in my opinion, is pre-game. Getting it paired was a chore, and every time I start my switch so far I’ve had to re-sync it before it would recognize it as an input option. All in all, this is a minor headache to deal with, but it’s still enough to leave a bit of a bad taste in my mouth.Great controller overall, though. Well worth the money – and it looks amazing!
In my opinion I would say this is the best third party controller for the Nintendo switch But can Connect to more than that. I bought this for the size. It’s Very convenient to have a controller with all the buttons you need this size. Just wish the switch read the battery. The analog sticks Feel High quality and the buttons just give you that nostalgia feel. Overall my favorite Controller for traveling
