Good gameplay, music and story.Abilities are your typical final fantasy combat and magic spells. As for weapons they didn’t make any specific changes in their designs but only color swaps they give you to play.There are only two party members prier from their last release (Sarah & Noel) which is a big disappointment. When characters such as a older Hope ,Snow or even Sarah’s friends could have helped during certain one time only battles and could have actually filled in an important character role that would have livened up most of the adventure. Overall i do recall having fun with this series so give it a try.
Nice story line easy to use controles
I enjoyed this game. The timeline hopping took a bit to get used to, but eventually made sense, and added interest to the storyline. Overall the storyline is a real strength, as well as the graphics. The fighting mechanics are a unique (in my experience) combination of turn-based and interactive, and can take some time to tune in order to be successful against tougher enemies. These are the three main reasons for the 5 star rating (storyline, graphics, fighting). There are however a few aspects of the (ally) monster leveling scheme that seemed to detract from gameplay, namely that abilities can drop off the list when you max out with little/no control over what gets dropped, and another nit is that by the time you are strong enough to tackle monsters who drop the best equipment in the game, you’ve already accomplished just about everything there is to do, so getting the best equipment is rather anticlimactic. Effectively, you get the best sword when there’s nothing new to kill with it.
Good produc and arriving on time
They have redeemed themselves from the first game , the sequel is amazing , light and a lot of fun . Serah and Noel along side Mog take center stage in the sequel , without spoiling it this is a sequel that you will want to play and have fun doing it more fun than the tedious first installment . I am a huge Final Fantasy fan , but I will not compare this tittle to any of the previous Final Fantasy their all stand alone installments and should be treated as such , this is not Final Fantasy 7 or X this is 13-2 and should be judged as such not based on its predecessors . Stop comparing the 13 series to games like FF7 their not remaking 7 thank god , move on from it , im saying move on not forget how amazing those games were they just cant redo the same games over and over .
As soon it got in to my son’s hands he love it, it doesn’t have the extreme graphics but is ok for him so can’t complain.
With this It is clear that a second part can be better than the original game.It’s fun and it’s mechanics are addictive. Being able to tame monsters and use them as part of your strategy to beat bosses? This is new and I totally like it. You’ve more things to do, the maps are wide open and it is not SO narrow and lineal.For example when you start the game you have just one way to go, right to the front but later you need to return to this location to find hidden monsters or hidden items and that is cool.I just dislike something, the MOGGLE. I want to find a hidden button in the ps3 control and make the moggle to SHUT UP.
I have played every Final Fantasy game sense FF5, and FF13-2 is my 3rd favorite from the series. I love this game not so much for the story itself (like FF6 & FF7) but more for the gameplay and tempo. It use the same battle system as in FF13 for the most part with a few adjustment. I like that you can tame various monsters and use them as a 3rd party member and upgrade them with different skills (this is a lot more fun than upgrading your weapons in FF13) Bottom line is that this is a fun game with a great soundtra and was a real joy to play, hands down the best of the three FF13 games.
The story is good, the music is fantastic, and the combat and characters are good. The graphics and CGI/FMV cutscenes are fantastic. The only downside, is the terrible puzzles and alot of the areas you explore in the game, are quite small apart from the dying world and Acadmeia City which is unfortunate.
