I bought this game for my husband’s birthday and gave it to him on Sept 17th. I then lost my husband and he did not re-appear until about a week had passed. I mean, I noticed that occasionally the level of coffee in the pot was lower and I thought I may have felt a patch of warmth on his side of the bed… but, he was gone. In all seriousness, the story of the game is good, the action is fun, and my husband may even replay it to get to a different ending. Which he seriously has never done, so that is a strong endorsement for inFamous 2.
Okay, I’m not these type of people who write super long in depth descriptions of a game. This is going to be short & sweetAfter beating inFamous 2 on both evil and good karma levels, I started to compare inFamous with inFamous 2. In inFamous 2, Cole has new powers that can be useful (lightning tether, kinetic pulse, & ionic vortexs) all the rest of them (car jump & throwing cars) I didn’t bother to use. I felt those “powers” were definitely used to draw in new players. I also noticed in inFamous 2 that Cole was definitely MORE agile (climbs up poles twice as fast & seems to run faster). The static thrusters were stronger & better.THANK GOD. It made the game easier. Now, your basic lighting stricks , the “alpha ray” consumes your electircal supply which I found to be a pain the rear end. I was HIGHLY upset about it at first, but I guess they wanted to make the game more “realistic”. I HATED the train rails you could use in inFamous because the trains hit you & knock you the heck out, so the street car wires was a plus. And just like in inFamous, the street car wires are not available everywhere in New Marais. I didn’t bother to collect blast shards as much as i did in the inFamous because I’m already good at the game so there was no need to waste time. Also the dead drops is a definite waste of time because you can play the story line missions & understand the story, but I suggest you collect them if you want extra XP to purchase powers.Same glitches existed in inFamous 2 as i.
I really liked this game…..a lot!I was really expecting to have the long-haired Cole character, but since most fans got that taken away, it felt like this game picked up a week after the first. There are some changes in the gameplay (loss of previous powers(the worst for is not being able to do the thunder strike at will) new moves, new melee moves). The story was not bad and the characters were great.I also liked how this sequel and the first one had a trophy system that you could actually complete unlike some never-ending-grinding games out there lol.Really enjoyed this.
This game is sick. I love it. And i never had the first one. Snd it came in the original ps3 cover and instructions. I eould highly recomend buy the game from these guys. They give u a great game with no scratches or oroblems. I played last night for 3 hours. It has a great story line. And u can play ftom easy to real hard. Depending on your experience with the game.
Long story short the game plays exactly the same way as Infamous 1 did, which isn’t a bad thing. You still have side missions of jump-starting citizens and stopping mugging, but most missions are carry overs from infamous 1. On a good note, they do have player designed missions created by follow gamers too change things up, but again the few I played where pretty much more carry over ideas from the first game; over time things should get more interesting. You do have some new powers and Coles does seem to run faster and fly longer, but you still collect blast shards, still kill carry pigeons for dead drops rather than find satellites and still have some random women bossing you around. More of the same! For what it worth, it’s good but not enough new features too consider this a great sequel. If you enjoyed the Infamous 1 you may but a little disappointed, but if you are brand new, just get the original for now, you’re not missing anything new.
Firstly let me point out the negative aspects of the game:Glitches:-Glitches do occur in various circumstances like when you’re attempting to disable a gun turret or looking to pick up a package from the floor. Cole (the main character) remains stunned for a few seconds until you remove the obstruction from the vicinity of the command. In one instance, I had a cardboard box prohibiting me from disabling a gun turret. I had to remove it before I was able to carry out that action. There was also a handful of instances in which my character went through buildings. One glitch was so notorious that there was a Youtube video about it. It’s the one with the train car. A game scene plays, you accept the mission and then you’re outside near the train car where the scene took place; when you try to jump onto that train car to get over it and onto the other side, you find yourself inside of the car, impossible to get out. Don’t panic here, like I did, just abort/abandon the mission so you won’t have to lose any potential game data. Also, from my experience, this is very rare, but it still occurred during gameplay-the good/bad karma. It’s not as noticeable as it was in the first game, but it’s still present where if you carry out positive actions, for whatever reason, you’re given bad karma and vice versa. Again, this was improved on from the first game (and the developers deserve credit for that) AND it’s also rare that is happens, so this element of the game if you experience it, shoul.
It’s been a long time since I’ve played this, but if you enjoyed the first game, you’ll most likely enjoy this one. The graphics and gameplay improved significantly. I didn’t feel the story was as great as its predecessor, but the endings were satisfying. The implementation of user created levels wasn’t too bad of an idea either. Overall, I would say it’s on par with the first game since it improves in some aspects, but isn’t quite as good in others. A big recommendation to PS3 owners out there as the Infamous series is among the better PS3 exclusives out there.
Mmmm take me back
Got his for $19.99 with Prime. The gameplay, story, and graphics are sound overall. The gameplay gives you free range of a city, similar to a grand theft auto or Batman style game where you can climb buildings. The map is pretty large, and because you use power lines to travel, it really doesn’t need to be much bigger. The game itself has a pretty solid story line with it. There are a ton of side missions, as well as user generated missions that were created for more gameplay. Not many games offer free extra content. Once connected to the internet, you can get a ton of extra side missions, which helps you level up and gain experience, and it makes game play longer. It has a nice mix when you fight creatures or humans, and you have a ton of cool different powers to use. I found myself playing for 3 to 4 hours at a shot without losing focus or boredom which happens to me often with other games. The graphics are pretty good, and the game never glitches or freezes up on me. Overall, because of the gameplay, and the fact that there is so much content out there for this game for free, I highly recommend this.
the first installment of infamous was kind of a mess. sucker punch, the studio that produced both infamous and infamous 2, just didn’t have the money to sink into infamous. As a result, the game was unpolished and the graphics were substandard. Despite these shortcomings, infamous was still an incredibly fun game to play. I really enjoyed it. For infamous 2, sucker punch pulled out all the stops. they dumped a lot of money into this game and it shows. the first thing you will notice is that the graphics are polished to perfection and the sceneries are much more lively. the story line is better than the first game and infamous 2 has more characters than the original. the mechanics are greatly improved and the boss fights are better as well. all of these elements make for an outstanding game that keeps the good aspects of the original intact. even if you haven’t played the original infamous, you must play infamous 2. it is easily in my top 5 favorite games in the past few years. get this game.
