This is one of the better WW-II flying games available. The arcade mode is relatively easy to grasp, but once you get into the realistic flying mode, be prepared for frustration. Your flying life expectancy will drop.

Amazing!
I really enjoyed (and am still enjoying) this flight sim / combat game. I play on the arcade mode as I am not a huge flight simulator fan, rather a WWII buff. I would have liked to see more detail in the ground targets but I have yet to play a flight game where you can visually identify if what you are attacking is a Panzer or a Tiger or a Truck. I like seeing the damage as it occurs to my plane and holes would appear in my wings when I came into the Flak of an angry cruiser or gun emplacemnt. I wouldn’t say this game is better than the “heroes over” game, but definitely a different experience. I would definitely recommend this game to the casual flight combat fan based on my playing preferences. Since I didn’t and won’t try the simulator modes I cant really comment on that aspect.
(XBOX 360)Detailed Missions/ Great Campaign/ Great Graphics and Explosions/ Awesome Presentation/ Fantastic MultiplayerWith three different levels of difficulty this game can be as Arcade or Realistic as you want it to be just by selecting the mode, however if you choose to play on “Realistic” or “Simulation” you will need a flight stick as it is easy to stall or send your plane into a spin. Using a flight stick in these two modes I can fly fine and I find these modes more challenging then “Arcade” mode because the damage model is more detailed and your plane flies worse the more damage that you take. Don’t get me wrong as “Arcade” mode is also fun and you don’t have to worry about plane physics. This is the best flight game that I have ever played and I have played many whether on the PC or on a console, this game Rocks!!!!
I wanted a cheaper (<$30) game for my son and I and this fits the bill! Easy to learn and fun to play, nice graphics and just plain fun.
I used to play a lot of computer flight sims many years ago. Couldn’t afford to keep up with the technology. Recently bought a 4GB xBox. Not much of a gamer and been out of the loop for about 5 years so I am very impressed with the graphics.This game has some great realism in the difficult levels (you have to play “arcade” for a while and work through the tutorial first). Historically it is as accurate as you could expect for a “game.” Awesome graphics and sound effects, explosions and debris. There are some boring times, but I like that, it adds to the realism. I do not like games that just drop you in a melee of frantic button smashing.Only grip so far is the controls without a good joystick, the in flight damage and the crash landings. Jane’s WW2 Fighters of over 10 years ago had better plane damage and crash landings. Oh, and in in cockpit view is not the best. I would like to play in cockpit for added realism but too much dashboard. Play mostly in HUD mode.

This is simply one of the best flight combat games for the 360. You actually see wings blowing off your targets, instead of just a target reticle. The realism can be turned up, and it should satisfy even the most hardcore flight sim player. If that’s your thing, buy this game. It is a good flight sim, and a great gaming experience in general. Very good production values; you’ll even see bullet holes in your wings and the planes look fantastic. A solid buy.
