It continues off the events of the 2nd game. It’s either you like it or you hate it. The combat is revamped with the 2nd game and they added more new characters. The frame rate in this game is much better than the 2nd one. At this point, it might be better to wait for the vita remakes as it will have more content.
It is what it is: a cute, anime inspired RPG. Might not be for everyone but I am enjoying it so far.
Game came within two days and everything was intact. I have absolutely nothing to complain about. Worth all my money.

If you’ve played any of the previous installments, be sure to pick this up! Definitely lots to enjoy about from addictive gameplay to hilarious references. Characters look visually improved with added glow effects and such. Fans will not regret for sure!
Like most of the fans of this game, I pre-ordered the CE from NISA and it arrived promptly with awesome goodies. I encourage any fans of NISA games to buy/pre-order from their store when possible, the shipping is fast – and I have Prime. We all probably spend way too much money on retrolio anyways.That said, the game itself is pretty awesome. Perhaps the biggest initial impact this third Hyperdimension Neptunia game had on me is the sheer amount of voiced dialogue it includes. Not only is it a massive increase on the first and especially second game – but it literally dwarfs most other JRPGs. While the English VA is okay, the Japanese VA’s (especially Neptune and Plutie) are simply stellar. So why should you buy this game? Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory is an atmospheric, quirky, fanservice filled JRPG with free-roam instanced combat and fun mechanics. It doesn’t take itself too seriously, but the production value of the third installment gives a feeling of quality and the fun to be had while playing make this a worthwhile purchase. I encourage anyone who regularly plays NISA or Xseed published JRPG’s (and Tecmo Koei no I guess…) to give this game a try. You needn’t play the first 2, but a quick playthrough of the second may help in getting acquainted with the world and characters.Quick note on the difficulty. While the first Hyperdimension Neptunia game was difficult due to the immature combat system, the introduction of positioning in the second game really made it much ea.

I’ll list the pros and cons and then my final summary.Pros:Characters: Any one that has played the first 2 games in the series knows this is the best part of the series. It is filled with some of the most fun and enjoyable characters in video games. The constant 4th wall breaking, using the characters as a commentary on the current state of the video game industry and general goofiness of the characters are what drew people to the original. This one introduced a few new characters. Personally, I think the series didn’t need them and found one in particular annoying at times but in the end, all the characters are very strong and you will find yourself caring more about them than you would think would be possible to care about characters in a game this silly.Story: Honestly, the story itself isn’t the greatest thing ever. The main character (Neptune) finds herself in an alternate dimension and spends most of the game trying to get back to her own. The character’s reactions.
