My 11 year old son loved this game, and it was an ego boost to him to be able to "win" in a relatively short amount of time. If adult-targeted WWII video games frustrate your child, this is a great option.
It’s a good game overall, fun, realistic enough. The graphics are very good. PS2 version was terrible, but XBOX 360 version did not suffer those flaws. Worth buying if you are into FPS type of game, like WWII action, and want to know what it was like to fight Japanese in the Pacific. Some people don’t like to follow sargeant or whomever around on the missions, but believe me, without him you would be lost in jungles, caves, or trench networks. You NEED him to find your objectives. Completing them is up to you. You play as private who takes orders regarding the objectives, not as a special forces OSS officer who makes up his or her own missions. It’s war, and there is no time for free roaming around. You need to complete your objectives in a timely manner, and it helps to have senior officer to guide you through the missions. It’s smart to pick up enemy weapons when low on ammo as well. Difficulty can be chosen depending on experience and combat skill level of the player.

Although the this game is very short, I highly recommend this game to anyone. During my public schooling, I heard alot about the war that was raged in the Pacific theater during the World War II and I heard that these battles were difficult because how enemy outnumbered us in battle. But this games actually showed me those difficulties even on the easiest setting. This games made me actually think and come up with strategies to effectively accomplish the objectives of the game.
