I enjoy bowling but I live in a small town that does not have a bowling alley nearby. I use my PlayStation Move controller to control the trajectory of the ball. I enjoy bowling with the various characters that the game has to offer and I also like the challenges in order to unlock other characters and earn trophies. Overall, a very fun and entertaining bowling game.
It’s a bowling game with PS move controls what’s not to like…65 inch tv, set of PSmove wands make this game really shine.
I bought this game a few days ago since Sports Champions does not have bowling. If you are expecting Wii Bowling than the reviewers are right it is nothing like it. I find this game to be a lot more accurate with your arm motion. You actually have to have some skill to play this game and practice to get better. The characters are kinda goofy, but fun. My wife played with the character “Milan” who seems to be the “Paris Hilton” of the game.The one thing that bothers me is I am left handed and it seems the spin only reacts as if you are right handed. Other than that our family continues to enjoy this game. I would recommend it to others.
I first purchased Brunswick Pro Bowling for PS3. It was horrible, as my 1-star review here on retrolio describes. Being a huge bowling fan, I still wanted to find a good bowling game. I then purchased this game and was given the gaming experience that I originally sought. Plus, this game works wonderfully on a 3D TV, though you certainly don’t have to have such a TV for the game to work. It’s just like real bowling, except perhaps a little more creative. Unlike Brunswick Pro Bowling, this game does allow you to use two separate Move controllers for two different players. You aren’t forced to pass-and-play if you don’t want to do so. So if you’re wanting a good bowling game and are trying to decide between this one and Brunswick Pro Bowling, you’ll definitely prefer this one. It’s not even a close call. This is the a very fun family friendly game. I live in TX and I ofen play online versus family that lives in Colorado and Texas. Hours of non stop fun.

Once I figured out the controls and got use to this it ROCKS! Feels just like real bowling. You can find different lines while throwing the ball down the lane, depending on how much or little spin and hook you use in your shot. Just like in real bowling. Until you find a line that hits the pocket and strikes! And it works great with the regular controller. No need for the Move controllers. I actually prefer the regular controller because it works so well. Just follow the on screen instructions and swing the controller as you would a real bowling ball! And be patient! This game is so realistic it takes time to learn just like real bowling does. Have fun, I know I am!
