I got the game yesterday and played it for a few hours. Campaign is pretty cool. Graphics are okay but the controls are a little difficult to get the hang of. The game gives you the option to design the controls to you liking so thats a plus. No one really plays the multiplayer any more so you can pretty much count that out. But for the price 5 stars.I don’t quit understand why there are so many negative reviews for the game. Okay I’ve played better FPS’s but it’s not a one or two star game. Before you decide not to buy the game try the demo first. It gives you the basics of the game play and special abilities you get with necter. Anyway thats all I got.Nicolas mom said to stop reading my reviews it’s getting annoying.
A lot of people are panning the demo for it’s lackluster presentation of the game, and I guess I have to agree with that. But I did find the demo intriguing enough to try the full game. Well, I gotta say that the real deal beats the demo’s brains in, hands down! You really have to play past the first level or two to get a full understanding of how well this game plays and how much of a blast it is. Don’t worry about the demo, forget the demo! Just go try this game, I would have given it a 4.5 if we were allowed to select half stars.

I played the demo for this game twice before deciding to purchase the game. The demo was fun, but nothing in it really “wowed” me to the point that I wanted to purchase the game. However, after playing several demos including “End War”, “Fracture” and “Resistance: Fall of Man” I decided that Haze was the funnest and was the most visually appealing of them, and the price was right so I decided to pick it up. After reading a lot of negative & mediocre reviews of the game on retrolio and other places, I had pretty low expectations heading into game-play. But I was nothing but pleasantly surprised with this game! This is a diamond in the rough in my opinion.(**spoiler alert**)The single player campaign was about 10 hours of play time for me, though I think you could probably finish the game in about half that time. Though others I think thought the “nectar” idea was gimmicky I personally found it interesting & compelling. I like the story concept of futuristic corporate America having a privatized military, and I suspect some of the negative criticisms surrounding the game might be disappointment that in this game “Mantel” (corporate America) is not the good guys! This was a Japanese made game and I’m sure this wasn’t lost on some reviewers that didn’t like that story angle, particularly as America is involved in wars in Iraq & Afghanistan at the time of this game’s release. This game is compatible to Call of Duty 4. Very good. Highly recommend it. Wish PS3 used the same game pad as XBOX 360

Resistance was fun, but Haze remains the best co-op shooter for the PS3. (By co-op I mean two people can play the storyline on the same console in split-screen).That isn’t a high bar! The PS3 doesn’t have many co-op FPS games. It seems like most game publishers only support co-op in online mode, and have taken out most of the story elements. I’m guessing they do this to force people to buy more games?Anyway, I think Haze deserves 5 stars just so people know this is a good co-op game. Hopefully game publishers will make more!
