I recommend this movie, has a very slow start but, has a very strong message at the end, feels like a for TV movie, in a good way.
I remember watching this movie when I was a kid. I cried when G Baby died then I stop watching it because it bothered me due to seeing someone getting killed that young. Years later I saw it on TV again and watched it without crying and more years passed and now I bought it on DVD. It’s an powerful story about courage, teamwork, survival, and more. Overall it’s an unforgettable movie about these black kids winning a baseball league.
Enjoyed this but then I am a Keanu Reaves fan. Authentic location in ghetto. Inspiring.
Old movie but i wanted to see it again
This movie got bad reviews elsewhere but I really liked it lol. I thought the story was inspiring, it had some sadness and tragedy but it was also cute and funny, and I thought the characters were great.

This movie was so good and so sad! The part where the thing happened really got me – but would definitely recommend watching because of the other part with that other thing that happened. Keanu forever.
Such a great movie. It was cheaper for me to buy it on retrolio as dvd than download from iTunes.
The movie is very cute and heart touching. I would not recommend it for small children as there is quite a bit of cussing. I think this is one of Keanu Reeves’ best roles.
This movie relates a lot to working together and fighting passed the odds against you. Mr. Reeves put on a good performance on. MUST WATCH.
