Ok I know the title makes this game sound short but in all reality it isn’t. I originally was given this game as a gift at around 8 and I just read the back cover and thought OMG this game is so awesome looking. When I played the game I wanted to explore every inch of the map. It’s huge which is something I really like and if you look off the main story path you can find a lot of side stories which will make you fall in love with all different characters. There is the main character a knight who was found a hurt fairy when he was young and saved its life. In the end of the game when you are fighting your final battle against darkness the fairy asks you if she was a human if you would date her, that realy makes everything she says click together the protective yet secretly in love fairy it’s really cute. The main character also finds a shape shifting pig like creature that not only does it grow strong with you but of you treat it badly it won’t help you, it may even attack you so I really focused on helping the creature become a close friend later allowing it to transform into a mighty dragon. If you go around to all the side stories you find a boy doing everything to try and help his family survive another day, a plot to assassinate a king, a boy who lost his memory and along with his sister really wants to find his family, you meet a boy who wants to become a knight, a girl who’s after never pays attention to her, a poet who is madly unloved with someone he thinks will never.
my childhood game
Perhaps I am a little bit biased…for this game holds a nostalgic place in my heart. It is the first RPG I ever picked up and decided to play…but besides that, I think I have a few things to say that may help you decide if this game is for you.The premis is that the hero Knight finds a baby creature out in the wilderness and is instructed by spiritual forces to protect it and bring it to its mother. As the game evolves, the ordinary hero finds himself wrapped up in an apocalyptic struggle brought on by destiny. It is a classic battle of good verses evil. Instead of conventional magic in battle there are strange animated toys, each with unique powers, that must be sought after to aid the hero in his quest.For the jaded, experienced RPG-player who demands perfect graphics and a complicated storyline full of disturbing undertones…this little game will not suit you. But when I played this I played it with an open mind, and was delighted.It is a brightly-colored, simplistic yet lovable game with heart. If only the young can appreciate it then power to them. As for the young at heart, this game is good for them too.

Besides Final Fantasy 7, this is one of the best RPG’s I have played on Playstation. It’s encaptivating for everyone. I’m 17, but I find this to be one of my favorite games to play. It keeps the strategy of an RPG with an underrated performance of gameplay. The story starts off quickly, so there isn’t very much interruption, and things just gain from there. New weapons, armor, etc. Highly Recommended to those new at RPG’s or those who just want to have a fun time.

This is a great game, even though it might be for younger RPG fans. This was my first RPG, but at the time I didn’t have a memory card, so I tried playing this over and over again. The farthest I got was to the gigantic bird in the cave, and I got past that too, a little bit. Although, since I was pretty young, and without a memory card, I was not allowed to play it for a long time. I loved this game, but now I am 17. My sister had accidently broken the game disc, sadly. I would get the copy that is $9.90, but I would rather get it for $38 or more to get it brand new and with a booklet and everything. So what if you played most of the final fantasy games, and maybe the Phantasy Star Online games. When I get this I’m going to beat it so easily its going to be so awesome! So if you want to play a game that is quick and fun, you feel like a kid for some reason, pick this up and play it! I don’t really know if this review was helpful or not, but this was what I wanted to say. ^^
With a pink pig as one of the main characters, and only being able to summon "toys" rather than dragons or GF’s, you may be under the impression this is not a game for the genuine RPG fan. However, do not let these facts protract from what is an enjoyable, entertaining, light-hearted RPG, which can become strangely addictive. The plot is kept simple and straightforward, the battle action is the usual turn based affair and the world is quite large and easily accessable. The toys are picked up throughout the game, and can be used to attack, defend, heal and generally cause havoc to all, much like magic. One of the innovative ideas in this game is that you can actually see how powerful a random enemy is before you go into battle: If you want the cowards way out, you can run away without entering into the battle scene, likewise if you are foolhardy, you can travel around only pitting your skills against the nastier opponents. With all this said, this game is no FF or Xenogears which have great storylines and character interraction, but dont let this put you off, this game is definitely worth a try!
