I enjoyed this game tremendously. If you know what to do in this game it will be an enjoyable experience. Then again almost 30 years later I still enjoy ghostbusters on my atari 2600. I’m probably showing favoritism though since I’ve been a ghostbusters fan since the beginning. I even loved the new movie so take what I write with a grain of salt. …or take it with a few salt shakers. Regardless this game is worth it’s price point. Enjoy the game and God bless
Most of the game is a business simulator where your biggest concern isn’t ghosts, it’s keeping your car gassed up. You fight the same ghost over and over, to the point that ghost-catching becomes rote. Then, at a given point, you either have enough money to advance to an even more tedious stage where you climb stairs, or you don’t and that’s it. The final boss fight is the closest it ever comes to being a game. It’s one of the only games where the Atari version is actually BETTER than the Nintendo one.But there are some NES games that are so bad that they still loom large in our memories. SNK’s Athena. 10 Yard Fight. Dick Tracy. And, without question, NES Ghostbusters. These are the bad games that will always be a part of our youth, and we can recapture those feelings of disappointment by adding games like this to our collections. And this isn’t even getting into it being a tie-in for Ghostbusters, itself a hugely nostalgic movie.Rating as a game: one star. Rating as a nostalgia piece: five stars.

This game, while not the best game in the world, is decent if you know what to do. It’s still not too good of a game, but I think you just might like it, BUT ONLY IF YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO! Anyways: END REVIEW!
