Since this game seems to be widely ignored compared to other dance games and other reviews and comments floating around for the ps3 version have contained some incorrect information, I thought I’d share my two cents about what amounts to a pretty solid dance game that’s sort of a hybrid of Ubisoft’s Just Dance series and Sony’s Everybody Dance.Like most other modern dance games, you follow a dancing character on screen, guided by scrolling representations of the moves you’re supposed to be doing (not always obvious or easy to follow, but that’s pretty much par for the course). You’re then awarded ratings (from ok to flawless) based on how well you hit them. The hit detection with the PS Move seemed decent enough for most general play (although, if you’re going for high scores or trying to get trophies, it can get pretty frustrating, particularly since some songs/moves seem to register better than others). It’s a little hit or miss. I’ve found myself getting “ok” or “great” when pulling off moves perfectly…sometimes even getting an “x” for moves I did fine. On the flip side, I’ve completely messed up a move and gotten “flawless”. It’s probably middle of the road in accuracy (or, perhaps, leniency more than accuracy) among the dance games I’ve played using the Move. The moves themselves come fast and are fairly intricate/complicated at times, making for a fun game with routines that might take a few plays to totally grasp and get down. While the moves sometimes come on.
Very good
