The second installement in the final fight series, or the cousin of Streets of Rage. Final fight was like streets of rage for SNES back in the day. The gameplay handled much more like an aracde style game than a streets of rage game. Streets of Rage had a lot of grappling and other special attack tactics. This game lacked that. FF2 had mostly simple combos and basic (clobber everything) super attacks. Still this game was a lot of fun and had some cool stages here and there. It was produced by Capcom so it had a lot of similarities to street fighter, some people even wrote it off as a street fighter meets streets of rage kind of hybrid. Decent game though.

Final fight 2 is a nice side scrolling beat em up just like the original. This one you go to different countries, And you still can choose haggar. The moves are pretty sweet to. I love the weapons, knives all that cool stuff. I can play this game forever it is so addicting.

Retro-gamers almost uniformly regard either Streets of Rage 2 on the Sega Genesis or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles In Time on SNES to be the pinnacle of the side scrolling beat ’em up genre, but gamers that grew up with the NES and the SNES will recall Final Fight 2 as a very familiar entry into the series. In the late 80’s and early 90’s, the side scrolling beat em up genre was the most dominant genre of video games with numerous instant classics in the now long gone arcades and on the old home consoles. The Final Fight franchise was engineered by Capcom with the sole purpose of being the flagship franchise of this genre, and in many ways they succeeded. The 3 Final Fight games have withstood the test of time and endured as among the most memorable and mandatory video games of their epoch; that being said, due to the many flaws of the rushed SNES version of Final Fight 1 and the far too late release of Final Fight 3, Final Fight 2 ends up being the most familiar entry into the series, coming early enough in 1993 to be played by enough gamers.For starters, much of the flaws of the original Final Fight on SNES have been fixed. The options menu with adjustable difficulty, sound and music test, and customizable controls (including a useful "extra joy" button assignment) is a nice touch. The default "normal" difficulty is a much easier difficulty than the default difficulty of Final Fight 1. A lot of the enemies have much smoother, albeit a bit slower,.
