I’m new to this franchise. Never played it on any gaming console other than Switch. It’s a very fun game to play. Something outside the box for sure. Great characters, fun plots, and addicting game play. An open world RPG that holds your hand the whole way. That said, it’s down right blurry. It looks like a PS2 game at times. Sure, it’s amazing that CDPR put this insanely huge game on one switch cartridge with all of the extra DLC, but at what cost? And keep in mind I have never even seen how apparently amazing this game can look on a PC or even a PS4. I hoped it would look at least as good as Skyrim does on Switch but not even close. At times I can’t even tell Geralt’s body from the trees. It’s annoying and hurts my eyes and graphics aren’t even that important to me. That said, this is still addicting, pretty much glitch free FOR THE MOST PART unlike Bethesda games (broken Skyrim especially), and is a real joy to play. It’s a port that plays well but looks rubbish IMHO docked. I don’t care how amazing it is that they fit it all on one tiny cartridge. So should you buy it on Switch? If only playing portable, yes as much of the visual issues are lessened on the small screen. If you have no other option but Switch, yes. You played it on a more powerful machine and have a Switch, probably no. It looked so blurry that I almost quit the game after the first 10 hours of play. Granted, I mostly play docked these days. And still, I will play it for days because th.
I got this for my wife so she could play on her Switch (I play it on PC). The graphics got pretty gutted to make it work on Switch and especially Switch Lite. The game is still amazing, probably my favorite game of all time, but if you have a PC or a different console, I would go for that over the Switch version. The ONLY reason I would recommend the Switch version is if portability was super important to you.
Fabulous open world game, a cross between Skyrim and Dark Souls, without the constant frustration. You will be playing this forever if you are a fan of exploration. I honestly am very grateful this was ported to the Nintendo switch. Quite possibly the best game I have ever played in my life. Brilliant! Wish there were more like it.
So switcher just came out and I played an hour or two on dock mode game plays fine but you can really see the tone done in graphics and image quality(hurts my eyes) but it handheld mode you don’t notice that much of the downgrade they did to run the game on an tablet type system overall the switcher 3 is a must buy for an switch owner just so we can support the studios so they can bring more ports to the switch.
Pros:- Beautifully built immersive world- Hours upon hours of quest gameplay- Satisfying combat dynamics- compelling plot lines; choose your own adventure style gaming makes each game uniqueCons:- Game is buggy (graphics render strangely sometimes, swimming dynamics are bad)- Mechanics are over-complicated and hard to pick up quickly- Some of the writing / storytelling is like an incel’s wet dream…ridiculously chauvinistic portrayal of women and sex
The game plays much like the TV series. At first I had a number of crashes, but I haven’t had any in a few days. There is a patch but I haven’t tried that yet.In terms of gameplay it’s extremely solid. The quests aren’t “go here, collect x amount of dog crap”. You actually feel like you’re performing a task that is entertaining and the fights can he challenging at first. You have to use different strategies and weapons for different enemies. Feels like Skyrim but much newer and with an awesome main character.
I love this game! I haven’t played it on any other console besides the Switch but I think the graphics look great! There have been some glitches here and there but things have been fixed through the updates. I personally always like some glitches. I used to love finding them as a kid. Keeps things interesting!! This game is %200 my new favorite game. Which I never thought I’d ever love anything more than Final Fantasy, Zelda, and StarCraft. But here we are!
I started playing this game on the PS4 and right away fell in love with the vast open world and storytelling the not only game but piece of artwork has to offer. But the turn off from the PS4 was the fact that I wasn’t home often, either at school, work or out with my girlfriend. This version completely defeats those problems!!!! Though the graphics did suffer in the port, that’s not a problem to me as good graphics don’t make a good game. Playing this game and seeing what’s to come for Cyberpunk 2077 has quickly made CDPRed one of my favorite video game developers seeing their dedication and honesty towards their work and the people that play their games.
I use to think all openworld games were boring and copy and paste like every ubisoft openworld game so I stopped playing them for years until I played horizon zero dawn and zelda BotW. Those games changed my mind about what an openworld game could be. And I wanted to give this game a try for a long time but heard rumors of it coming out on switch so I settled for skyrim on the switch. But now it’s finally here on switch. While it doesn’t look as good as the other versions its still a solid performing game that I don’t wanna put down both in docked and handheld. I’m not even 10 hours in and I just wanna keep going and learn more about this world and its people in it. It’s a little early to tell if I’m gonna find it personally better than zelda or horizon but I can safely say I’m already enjoying it far more than skyrim. If you haven’t played this game or just wanna be able to play it anywhere you wont be disappointed with this version.
You sitting on that couch reading them reviews. Life is passing you by, buy The Witcher 3.But yeah this game is more than worth I regret never playing the series up until now. I honestly don’t know why you are this reading this by go buy it, like right now. I mean they give you a box full of loot, for christ sake what more do you want than all the expansions and dlcs all in one cartridge.
