FIFA 09 is a vast improvement on 08. The game looks like a real match now due to the physics being improved astronomically. You can do all sorts of beautiful finess shots, heel passes, etc that weren’t possible in 08. The celebration is a lot of fun as well. The crowds in the stdium need still improvement. I can’t believe there aren’t smokers going off, or flags, or anyting of that sort to show the audience really behind it. The crowd needs to be louder as well with more chants. The commentators are great as usual but could use a little more emotion some times. Overall I would say this game is amazing and a huge step up from 08 but the little things hold it back from being perfect.
The graphics are really good, the game is exciting and gives you a lot of emotions, especially when u play online. Manager mode and Be a pro mode make the game more interesting but the referee drives u crazy (i am talking about the PS3 version). Except the hundreds of red cards that he gives to your players when by mistake u slide to one of the opponents also i don’t really understand the meaning of the advantage when u see first the advantage sign on your screen and when you are ready to score a goal he stops the play for foul. How’s that possible? The advantage indicates the game to go on, so why he wistles for the foul? Can anyone answer my question?Beside all that everything else is really amazing. Good job from the EA ;)

This game is great. It has all the right players. The player custimization is great you can make them look like anyone. There are over 100 sorts of cleats and many different balls. You can play different sorts of game modes. It has very good graphics and not Laggy at all. When you score you can do a lot of celebrations. You can play multiplayer which is very fun. You can do lots of dukes and tricks. You can juggle and do around the world. Your players can get injured, sprint, walk, jog, get hurt, be carded, and be offsides.This game has a high replay value. I personally love it and it is one of the only games I play.Great for any soccer fan, or just someone who like video games.
I have really been only playing FIFA since FIFA 05….(I had some old FIFA on my game gear but I wouldn’t count that) and before that I played World Cup 98 on my N64……I played a good amount of FIFA 08 last year and I can say that was an amazing game that never grew old with me.FIFA 09 does not dissapoint after playing FIFA 08….The graphics are a LITTLE better but the physics are vastly improve. I love the running jockey (L2 + R2) and the new slide tackling animations.I skipped the amateur and semi-pro modes and won my firsg game 3-0 on Professional. My next two games were 1-1 and 2-2 draws so it is not too difficult to score goals (which makes the game all the more enjoyable).The online play is great and will at times have you wanting to break your controller knowing another virtual footballer is beating you.other notes:-Goalkeeping vastly improved-Celebrations are cool-Response tmie when passing is still a little slow (sometimes player takes extra touch)-Christiano Ronaldo is too good… (although he is in real life as well)-Shooting similar to FIFA 08 (good thing if you are used to it)-Through balls are a little harder than in previous FIFA because you have to hold down the button longer…-AMAZING GAME!my user name is TheRareCreature if anybody wants to play with me!
For all the lovers of the football games, this one is the best game up to the date, is better than PES 2009, is more entertaining and real. You have to have it.

This game is awesome. It’s challenging and the graphics are great.The only problem I have is where are the weather effects? Where is the rain and snow? If anyone knows how to do it please post it but I can’t figure it out.Other than that the game is fantastic and I recommend it to everyone.
