This game is a huge step up for Warner Bros. The graphics and mechanics have improved. Controls function now universally instead of having to hit the circle button to melee (I never did like that). The campaign isn’t real long, but it’s longer than the others considering now you have two characters to play with through each interval. You unlock Fettel after you complete an interval with Pointman. It’s best if you just complete the story with Pointman first though and then go back and do all the intervals so you don’t get mixed up and have trouble getting your “Missing accomplished..?” trophy. Speaking of melee earlier, you can jump kick, run and sweep, or knife depending on your movement. Fettel kills people with melee instantly if they are suspended and you hit R3 near them. I find the melee to be considerably more fun than the previous games allowing me to desire knifing or kicking all my enemies to their deaths. Gun play is smooth and I find it quite easy to head shot my enemies. Pointman has slow mo so he can hit his enemies dead on and with Fettel, he can suspend his enemies and head shot them with his psychic blasts. The best thing about Fettel is his ability to possess almost any character in the game allowing you to take control of their abilities and weapons. If you die in the possessed body, Fettel with simply drop it and continue fighting. If you get tired of the possessed body, you can commit suicide and blow your insides to out by pressing triangle. One downfall.
I am a huge fan of the F.E.A.R games the first was awesome, the 2nd was awesome, and the 3rd is amazing! RIght away I will say I have nothing bad to say about this game.The campaign was awesome, the story was really good definitly had the best story out of the F.E.A.R. games, and the cutscenes were really well done and very interesting to watch. The games main character is the same guy you played as in the first F.E.A.R . You play as point man and you have your brother with you thats haunting you the whole game. Single player is really fun as point man and as Fettel the gameplay is even better because he has a very unique style of gameplay, as fettel you can posses the enemies and when your done you make them explode which is always fun. The campaign didn’t have as many scary encounters as the previous 2 but still had some awesome ones.The co op is super awesome since one person plays as point man and the other is Fettel so its two different styles of gameplay. The story has 2 different endings whoever does better throughout the game will change the ending. And having a Danzig song in the credits was definitley a bonus.I haven’t played too much of the online but from what I have played it was totally fun. But I don’t have too much to say about the online.So yes I would totally recommend this game especially if you are a fan of F.E.A.R, First Person Shooters, Great Co op games, or even just scary games.

UPDATE: At first I hated this game. You see I am autistic as such many of the games more subtle cues I like totally miss. Unfortunately in FEAR 3 you really have to search the game world for weapons. Also in Fear 3 you can’t just shoot everything that attacks you. In FEAR 3 it pays off big to Maylee some of the creatures you encounter. It is especially effective if you just beat the pig like gray to orange glowing creatures to death by stabbing them repeatedly. The ice blue dudes were hard to kill at first but eventually one gets a taste for it even a knack. I am not a man long on patience when it comes to video games. Honestly on Easy Mode I was able to win against the game in campaign mode and if was both difficult and fun for me once, I mastered an understanding of how the game wanted to be played.FEAR 3 is a lot of fun but only if you adopt the playing style dictated by the game which makes the game less fun and more linear. FEAR 3 does do something I find painfully bad in any video game. I have found that when playing video games there are some weapons I love far more than others. Generally speaking give me a quick loading sniper rifle and no enemy is safe no matter where or how far away he is. When I am armed with a powerful sniper rifle with an equally powerful look down sight any enemy I see is living on barrowed time and I will collect their debt permanently.With each installment of FEAR 3 the game just takes your favorite gums away and replaces them with the garbage.

My son had a great time playing this game! I loved that it was an excellent present for him. ;)
I really enjoyed this game. I played co-op with my boyfriend and we really enjoyed the freedom to fight independently and using different tactics to defeat bosses. I would say the game lasted for 8 to 10 hours. But we tend to search every corner of a game, so if you aren’t as detailed it would take less. Very worth while game. I know we will probably play again and switch characters.
I have only played about 2 hours of the single player campaign and so far just love it. I usually dont do reviews so quickly, not having the knowledge yet of beating the game but this game very much excites me and gets my heart pumping a bit faster. I had never played the 1st F.E.A.R. game and was only half way through the 2nd when the 3rd came out. So many games such little time! I do know the story as my friends have played them and filled me in. Nonetheless, its a great FPS and it comes with some challenging moments. I wouldnt say this game is jump-out-of-your-seat scary, but it is pretty eerie and creepy and at times has the hair on the back of my neck standing straight up. The games that get me sucked in are the ones that i just cant wait to see what happens next, where i get so into the story i forget to blink while playing. I am a pretty picky gamer and can get bored very easily, i have no problems putting a game on the shelf and moving onto something else, in saying that, i can allready tell this will be in my PS3 for quit a while. As far as the graphics, sound, controlls etc., no complaints, very smooth and top notch. The only reason i gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because i havent beaten it yet, but the way it seems to be going ill have to update that when i finish it. If you can get this game for $40.00 or under, even if you havent played the 1st two, its def worth it.
If you like survival horror games then this is a good buy. Especially for the price! It does get a little difficult and if you go for platinum trophies like I do a few of the lower level trophies are glitched so those two things combined make it a little more frustrating than fun. But all in all the suspenseful scary nature of this game was enough to keep me entertained. And my obsessive nature made me drive for the trophy.Overall, $13 you can’t go wrong. Buy it for yourself and a friend and you can enjoy coop mode as well!Btw idk why my name says unimpressed? I was impressed!!!
