There nothing extra special about these but they are reliable and good. They’re comfortable, install easily, and will do everything you need. The only thing I would like to see is 5 buttons on the front. then these would be perfect to use for SEGA Genesis emulation. You can still use these fine, but I would like the buttons in the same position.
I’ve been using this gamepad for a few months now and it has been working flawlessly.Used it on multiple emulators on the laptop and it functions properly on each. The dpad works fine, the analog sticks are accurate, and all the other buttons function as expected.I will be buying another one so that I can play some 2 player games with my son.
This controller lasted me 5 years. I didnt take care of it, and threw it around, it took half a decade of that abuse. Its a cheap controller, it doesnt feel like the best thing in the world. Mushy buttons, and not clicky triggers. over all for under $20, that will last 5 years, thats a great deal. Oh yeah, it also works with the Ouya, for some reason
I’ve gone through a lot of cheap USB controllers and this is the first one that seems like it will last. My kids are kind of rough on them. For the price, I think that this is the best multi-function USB gamepad out there. What is especially cool is that a lot of games are designed to work with specifically this layout, so you don’t even have to program it for those games. Highly recommended.
Using this in my car for Tesla Arcade. Works fine for Beach Buggy Racing and Cuphead. My previous controller (8bitdo) didn’t work for these titles. Only con is the D-pad is wobbly but that’s expected for a cheap $13 controller.
Works great on my Windows 7 gaming machine! Plug and play and immediately recognized and started gaming. The ‘handles’ are a little ‘bulbous’ even for adult size “average” hands, in my opinion..not so big that they are uncomfortable or you get sore/carpal tunnel, but just a little bigger than an older Playstation 1 style, for example. Other than that a great little gaming controller for the average, casual gamer.
I’m a PlayStation kid, so I found this controller to be very comfortable and easy to use. My computer immediately recognized it and I didn’t have to really mess around with anything to get it to work for me. It’s a good weight too; it doesn’t weigh a ton but it feels substantial enough that it doesn’t feel like it’ll break if I drop it once or twice.
This gamepad was excellent, worked perfectly for about 4 years, then the right shoulder button broke. The rest of the controller works perfectly, and is very responsive and easy to use. I still use it with games that don’t require the right shoulder button. I have no problem buying another. I have had gamepads with buttons that broke earlier than this. You can’t replace the shoulder button without having to solder the connections.
Works on a Mac! You may have to use the "configure game control" menu on each game, but it does work on a mac / apple. There is a button that allows you to change the left hand XY control from the small joystick (left side) to the pad. Also, there is a slide switch on the bottom of the controller that has two settings "X" and "D". Ours has worked on everything if this switch is set to "D".
Good gamepad for my raspberry retropie setup. The only thing that doesn’t work is the LT and RT are analog inputs so they don’t play nicely with the pie’s expectation of a switch for those and makes the initial setup a bit finicky/non-working. Since I don’t use those buttons anyway I just don’t map them. I also like that you can swap the analog/digital left pad/stick so you can use either/or in various games without remapping everything.
