This game is very entertaining. I didn’t play the first Epic Mickey so I was iffy about the story going into this one. It catches you up fairly quickly so you have a good gist of what’s going on. I mention that the game is a little difficult, especially for children, as I didn’t play with a PlayStation Move. The Move is highly recommended to use with this game because it makes gameplay a whole lot easier and more interactive. Don’t get me wrong, the game isn’t un-playable without a PlayStation Move, it’s just not the easiest thing in the world.
Item is perfect.
First of all, I’m writing this from the perspective of an adult, playing this always in 2-player mode with another adult, neither of us having played the first Epic Mickey.Disney Nostalgia:I’m a big fan of Disney, so the settings and details are a delight to me. All of the levels, costumes, and characters either reference or are directly pulled from Disney cartoons and theme parks. It’s a lot of fun to start a new level and recognize it from a Silly Symphony cartoon I saw as a child.Co-Op Gameplay:My boyfriend, who is much less of a Disney fan than I am, also enjoys this game, largely for the co-op gameplay. I don’t think either of us would enjoy this game nearly as much if we were playing in single-player mode with the Oswald AI. It’s truly a cooperative game, requiring the two of us to strategize combinations of helicoptering / flinging each other into the air to reach all the chests and bonus items.Playstation Move:I have the Playstation Move controllers and I have tried it both with and without them. I personally found the Move controller frustrating. The Move controller controls both the camera and your aim for the paintbrush or remote, and I couldn’t manage both at once without frustrating myself. My boyfriend on the other hand has no issues, and the Move controller is intuitive to him. Thankfully the game allows players to play with different controller set-ups, so I can play with just the Dualshock controller while he plays with the Move / Dualshock combo.Frustrations.
Really good game, especially if you are playing it with another person. Got it for 17 bucks, the game’s worth the money.
Excellent
Gift to replace a worn out game! He loves it!
Great game but be mindful my boys are at 7yo and I have to help a bit. Its fun though just like Toy Story 3 the game. If you like that you’ll love this and vs versa.
My husband and son play this often. It has provided a lot of hours of fun and interaction. A hit at our house!
Cute game with fun for all.
I purchased this game for my daughter. Although I don’t know much about the logistics of the game itself she is absolutely thrilled! The story line is easy to follow and as a 14yo, she was able to pick up on how to navigate the game very easy.
