How to even begin…. This is my third Dark Horse model and I am not disappointed with the quality of it. And it, even though it’s meant to be the Truth and Reconciliation, I like to imagine it’s a captured ship called Terran’s Revenge.Good price, great quality and quick delivery too!
Great detail
I’ve always liked the sharp contrast between the blocky, harsh, utilitarian UNSC ships and the graceful, smooth, and beautiful Covenant ships. Dark Horse’s Truth and Reconciliation does a great job capturing this unique style to Covenant ships and brings to life an iconic setting many will remember from the original Halo game. The Truth and Reconciliation is a CCS class battlecruiser, the workhorse of the Covenant fleet and the most commonly sighted class of Covenant ship. The look of the CCS has varied a bit throughout the Halo games. In Halo 1, they had a silvery grey hull with an underside lit by purple lights. In more recent games, the hull is more of a metallic purple color. Also the first version had 2 fins under the head of the ship, while the newer has 4. This model conforms to the original Halo 1 design which makes sense since that’s how Truth and Reconciliation first appeared.The sculpt is absolutely stunning. There are tons of tiny details like recessed hull lining, an underside gravity lift bay, and lots of features that I’m not even sure what they all are (it’s an alien ship after all!). I am impressed with the resin casting as we have all this great detail and no warping or flash that I can find.The paint job is pretty good. I like the silvery hull which faithfully replicates the ship as it appeared from the game. The underside looks like it has had a purple wash. I like this as it simulates how the ship’s underside glowed purple from lots of little lights in th.
Great looking ships at a great price. One of the best models from Dark Horse. Good size and detail for this price point.
