The game goes back to the original earth defense force. Spawning a LARGE number of ai bugs sometimes overwhelming numbers.The flaw in the game come from those numbers when the frame rate drops when too much is going on for the ps3 to register.

Anyone who has left out food in the kitchen can understand the pests that ants can be and now you can act out your aggression by declaring genocide on ants, spiders, robots, and spaceships. Don’t think for a second that if the ants in your kitchen could attack you with robots they wouldn’t. Strike first and tell them "That’s my knife with peanut butter on it in the sink, NOT YOURS!" Don’t be surprised when EDF 2025 is voted GAME OF THE YEAR by people who enjoy it. If Starship Troopers taught me anything (and arguably it taught me more than my entire time elementary school) it’s that the only good bug, is a dead bug.
My son spends hours playing it ,perhaps hours replaying it also. His sister and brother enjoy it also. They want there own.
Great quality. Frame rate is kinda jumpy but thats issues with the game directly.

If you have played EDF before, then you know the formula by now. A real quick and dirty overview of the game: you are part of the collaborative army called the Earth Defense Force. An alien force known as the Ravagers have landed on earth with the intention of taking it over. The Ravagers are a mix of massive earth-like insects and robots. Apparently over the years we have learned two things: 1) Earth sucks to live at, because every few years it is being attacked and 2) The Ravagers simply don’t know how to successfully conquer a world, because they keep getting beaten back every time. In this one they have decided to change up the classes a bit and boost the hardness a good portion. Before you could run through the game fairly easily just by running directly at your enemy spamming your gun. This time you’ll face a slew of enemies that are all way smarter and strong, like the revamped spiders that can actually get you tangled on their webs for an almost instant KO. You will definitely be finding yourself dying a lot more often, but part of the fun is trying to figure out what works best for the level! The new classes are a mix of the old classes and a new engineer-type class that can build vehicles. Personally I preferred the old classes (especially the gatling gun-wielding heavy soldier from the last game), but the newly introduced class does breathe a certain life in to the game.Just like all of the previous titles, the real star here is the local multiplayer. Sandlot nailed it if you like EDF2017. Only fixed what was broken and left the fun quirky things. Thanks to retrolio it came on time. The Playstation Network however is still having issues and I have yet to receive my pre-order bonus which is a bummer. Not sure I will count on that again as I am on hour 3 of getting that resolved with Sony.
Pure unadulterated stupid fun! Easily the greatest purchase of the year. Do you want to blow up hundreds of giant ants, bees, spiders, robots, and star ships with rockets, tanks, lasers, lightning, and all sorts of wacky weapons? Then this is the game for you bub!
