All is darkness. The Dragon-lord has captured the Princess and stolen Erdrick’s powerful ball of light. You are Erdrick’s heir. To you has fallen the most dangerous task – to rescue the King’s daughter and recover the mystic ball of light. As the hero, engage in one-on-one combat, travel to five towns and conquer five dungeons. Sounds easy right? Not with all of those bosses in your way!

Dragon Warrior is a basic game.. The Mother Creator could make a better version. I do enjoy this one better then North point version. Thank you and Mother Creator of humans that made video game loves you.
I had two of theses already but both of mine no longer worked, and haven’t been played in over 10 years, but with the retro NES I started playing old games and these are still among the best made
Before Enix changed the series name to Dragon Quest and before you could fight nine enemies at once, the original Dragon Warrior was given away free as a promotional tool with a subscription to Nintendo Power in the 80s. And man does it hold up. The game has a classic retro feel and is a prime example of a simple, but fun RPG.Before you jump at the opportunity to purchase, I must caution you. This game, like most NES games in this era, is not for everyone. It’s a very old fashioned RPG. The graphics are simple, the music is basic and the difficulty is rather unforgiving. Another factor to caution you with is Grind. Spending a solid hour, at least, constantly fighting the same enemies will get on you nerves. However, despite this, the simplistic story and simple tunes can let you get lost in a fun little quest. The game is more preferable to avid collectors and die hard retro RPGs in the style of the early Ultima games. A good note for buyers is that due to the promotional tool that made it popular, the game is incredibly common and therefore rather cheap. This game is a classic and I highly recommend it to NES collectors everywhere.

A great game
Interesting game and fun to play not quite a must have but still worth buying if you like older rpg’s
I love it! Such a good game, thank you for the fast shipping! In perfect condition!
it’s a great game!
This is the first real JRPG and while it shows in some places, it works really well as a very simple game to just relax with.
This is probably one of the best games of its time. I think I got this game when I was in 4th grade. Loved it instantly. Later, I recieved one with my subscription to Nintendo Power. I had to let someone else enjoy this game, so I gave it to my cousin. He also loved the game. To this day, I still drag out the old Nintendo and play this. It can be quite difficult, but it’s awesome.
