Exactly as advertised. Old childhood favorite
I’ve been playing this game for 4 straight days. It is my new favorite overhead shooter for this system. Difficult, but very possible. The cart gives you the option to play an "easy" or "quick" version (which skips 3 or 4 stages) as the Gold Dragon, or you can take on the whole game as the Blue Dragon for 9 rounds of not stop action. I’ve beat it as Gold Dragon, Blue is considerably harder. Another cool thing is the storyline and game ending vary depending on which dragon you choose. Very cool arcade game, not too well known but you should give it a shot!
I was blown away by how fun this games is! Its one of those Galiga like games where you fly forward and shoot bad guys while avoiding getting hit. Kind of like 1943 or Silver Surfer, but way better. In this game you ply as a dragon and press one button to shoot in the air and the other to shoot at the ground and can move forward and backward as well as side to side, while the screen pans forward at a steady pace. Eggs on the ground and blinking baddies will release power-ups when hit. There is a really short and supper easy intro level that if you beet you will get the blue dragon and can play the full game, but if you loose you will get the gold dragon which has twice as much health as the blue dragon and has rapid fire as the base attack without any power-ups, but as the gold dragon you can only play the odd numbered levels.
