I enjoyed this game. The game does work on the American playstation But it is in japanese. The game is a great game because it has all kinds of cool charectors and cool moves. If you like dragonballZ/GT you will like this game. If you get this game get some codes at [URL] because it makes the game even better.
While a select few may argue, Dragon Ball Z is taking the US by storm and this title deserves a special place in the hearts of Anime fans; after all, it was one of the first english language DBZ titles to hit Playstation. It provides unique gameplay on the PS1 which allows you to fly at will and attack above, below or on either side of you. You also have the ability to build your players strength and skills well beyond imagination! What it comes down to is a fun, action packed fighting game based off of popular animation…. What else could you ask for? Buy it, play it, love(d) it!
There is NO such thing as a converter. This game is in Japanese and good look finding the English version for less than $[money] on [an auction site]. I have the English version, but it’s a copy, not the original. I also have the Japanese version (Original Copy) and to play this, you need a Mod-Chip (I just use the swap trick because I’m too lazy to solder the ModChip). DBGT Final Bout is an awesome game, but the graphics are a little blocky considering the game was released in 97. You can unlock characters such as SSJ4 Goku and Vegetto. Build-Up mode is something you gotta check out. Build-Up makes the game. All I do on Final Bout is build up my guy (SSJ4 Goku and Vegetto) and fight a friend of mine. If you have a Mod-Chip or know the swap trick, definetly get this game. Get it anyway and then get a Mod-Chip. If you don’t read Japanese, the game modes will take a little time to remember where everything is, but you’ll get it. A total 10 out of 10.
This game has AWESOME graphics, great gameplay, and is a whole lot of fun! If you like the Mortal Kombat games, you’ll absolutly LOVE this exciting game! A must have game!
When i first got this game it was from a freind with no instruction booklet,but i got the hang of everything in a few turns, personally i love dragonball z its wicked and this game is good because you can be so many characters and they actually look like the real characters off the cartoons.also this game is so realistic e.g you can fire kamahamahas in the middle of the air and is you press different combanations of buttons you do even more powerful moves, and there are a lot of hidden characters.theres only one flaw you can only save your build up nothing else
this game is real cool, however, the music [is bad]but the fighting and the ki powerups are pretty sweet! thisgame is really good if you are a dbz/gt freak like me.
Though all 3 of the DBZ games have been out for quite some time now, they continue to sell as more and more people are becoming obsessed with the ongoing action soap opera that is Dragon Ball Z. The third and possibly the last installment of DBZ games on the Playstation is Dragon Ball GT: Final Bout. This is the only game to be released and distributed on the American market. However, there were only a couple of prints done on it and as a result, it is extremely hard to find. DBGT takes a turn from the previous games since it uses polygonal characters and a whole new fighting engine. Whereas the graphics are much nicer, the gameplay is very slow and extremely difficult to the point where it almost seems unfair. If you watch DBZ every day on the Cartoon Network like most fans then seeing your favorite characters in 3-D polygons will appear strange at first. Though they look very nice, they do not really look like they do in the cartoon. They almost look too good in this version. Still, this is not the main drawback to the game. Out of all of the aspects of the game, I would have to say that graphics are its best feature. Play on the other hand is a different story. The response time is very slow, and each move that the characters do is executed at a snail’s pace. You’ll hit the punch button and watch the character go through a huge animation of punching. It is almost impossible to perform any combos and so the action is very slow back and forth. The control contributes to th.

This game was very good besides the fact that the characters are a little blocky and it has 2 second delay to punch and stuff.but otherwards i thought the game was pretty good, considering i spent 399 dollars on my orginal copy of dbgt final bout, but that is not the point.the point is this game is very good must buy even if a cd-r backup i gave it 5 out 0f 5 stars i hope my review is helpful P.S jap version not bad either
I…loved….THIS GAME! Dragon ball Gt Final bout is great! i know it may seem odd, the games controls are wierd..but after my second fight i got the hang of it.i really recomend this game.my favorite character is the guy with the earings…Gogeta or something.
