Sweet Game!
As described.
This is a really good older school game. I had a good week of adventures and killing computer bad guys. I totally recommend.
just what I was looking for , a lot of features and hidden stuff
The expansion has a few bugs, but the ones I can’t tolerate (the Silverite Mine Glitch and the Blackblade armor set being incomplete) have fan-made fixes by now. (And this is why toolset compatibility is a good thing.) The story is about as well done as the original campaign’s, and the choices allow you to play completely different characters from one game to the next as well as Origins did.
I’ve been a gamer my whole life, and this is my very favorite video game. It’s not the best RPG ever made–I’d give that distinction to Elder Scrolls IV and V, which have almost perfectly real graphics and more freedom than you know what to do with. However, while perfect freedom and realism are all great characteristics of a video game, their lack is why I love Dragon Age (and its sequels, though this is my favorite). The best part is that it is based around a really great, but highly flexible story. Remember Final Fantasy VII and IX (back when they were good)? Those games are classics not because of the game play, but because of the well-written storylines. Unfortunately, they were all linear–Cloud had to go through steps A, B, and C before he could fight Sephiroth, and then they fought, and then D happened…and you didn’t have any choice in any of it. Well, In Dragon Age, you get the pleasure of experiencing an excellent, well-thought out storyline, in which everything you do works toward specific goals and culminates in an awesome final battle. But you ultimately get to pick how the story goes. It’s like one of those pick-your-ending books, but so much better because, you know, it’s a video game. You get to interact and have pretty believable, interesting, and surprisingly deep relationships with your companion characters (I’ve personally got a thing for Allistair). (Oh, and there are even options for homosexual relationships, if you like). You could play th.
This is not a standalone game. You must have the original Dragon Age Origins installed. Luckly, it was on sale too. The game itself is great! The best way I could put it is your watching a movie and get to chose what they are going to do and say.Download and instalation was very easy.
It isn’t perfect — no game is, but this was so much fun! I love it! After I completed it, I immediately started over, because I wanted to see what changed if I made a different race or made different choices. I’m almost finished with my third play through, and I still like it just as much. The story is exciting, the characters are engaging, the ability to create and personalize your own character is satisfying and helped make me feel more invested in the game. The combat system took me a little bit to figure out, but once I got it, it was easy. (If you’ve ever played "Neverwinter Nights", it’s almost exactly like that.) No matter how bad the reviews may be, I will play all the "DA" games, simply because I enjoyed this one so much and want to see where the story goes.
I had my qualms with this. I felt as though raising the level cap and adding a few more quests and a couple of side kicks didn’t do the trick. I still feel as though with the armor piercing mages are disproportionately powerful. The game is not properly balanced. The artifacts and items tend to skew towards sword and axe wielding warriors though. The rogue class just stinks. The stealing system doesn’t work half the time and the rewards from the chests generally aren’t worth the inventory spaces that they occupy. You can’t even backstab until you have very high level stealth, even then you need to control the thief that is backstabbing or else it isn’t done properly. For what you pay the amount receive isn’t that great. I wouldn’t recommend this unless you really love Dragon Age Origins.
