Fun game to play
Challenges you to move different
Exactly as described. 100% Satisfied.
Picked this game up after playing Fight Night Champion for a few months, cant say this is better then fight night, the game is fun..the presentation is what really makes this game fun, the gameplay is sub-par but its still fairly fun and can be played through career mode with a meaning, all in all for under 10 bucks this is a good buy and even better buy if you’re a boxing fan and like going round to round beating down opponents
Fast shipping excellent product even came with the case and all of the manuals. This game is a great classic by a great company
I heard about this game and thought it was terrible until i played it myself. this game is on par with fight night round 3 and just as good as any Boxing game that has come out. you will get frustrated in the Beginning which probably is where most people are in there reviews this game really makes you “work” like if you do not block or are prepared to block you will be flat on your butt tapping the “A” button to get back up i find myself now realizing you just cannot button smash you really need to find openings to punish your opposition or you will be strategically picked apart like in a real boxing match i am sure after while you will perfect your strategy to win the matches but in the Beginning you will be pissed for taking the punishment that the “ai”dishes out . Graphics are VERY GOOD… great commentary on point and the game will be better with future releases and will challenge EAsports just like every other 2k product ever put out.pick this one since it is dirt cheap because of the Bad reviews.. and with some patience you will have a fun boxing experience and be pleasantly Suprised playing this pretty decent first run game by 2k sports.
Those who criticize the game really miss the point.I played this game ages ago. Vividly remember it. If you’re a fan of creating your own character and playing the game as if you’re in it, this is the game for you. However, if you’re just into "graphics OMG!!!", don’t play it. This game focused more on telling a story. You create a character. He has a storyline, starting from fighting in small, seedy gyms with a few people and gaining fame over time, all the way up to the main event scene. Along the way, realistic things happen; you get injuries during training or in fights, you have to buy stuff, you’ll get into a feud with another fighter, dirty fighters where the judges/refs don’t call it, etc. I remember once, my guy broke his hand, and you take damage with every punch with that hand. Just as with the real thing.Loved the game. The graphics were not great, and the fight controls were clunky. But in terms of storyline, it was awesome.
GREAT GAME!… GREAT PRICE!… you can trust the shop and the game
very good
Let me just say that I love boxing and am a sucker for any and all boxing games – from Mike Tyson Punch-Out (NES) to Evander Holifield “Real Deal” boxing which is probably my all-time favorite (Sega Genesis) to all of the Knockout Kings (PS1) to all of the Fight Nights – Round 2 was my favorite – (PS2/Xbox 360)to this game. When I opened it up, created my fighter, and “Rocky Balboa” lost his first 5 fights (in career) I was ready to put a spike through it. My review would have been much different. I gave it a chance and never looked back (and yes “Rocky” did become Heavyweight Champion of the World). I loved the game and the story (which is much better – surprising? – than Fight Night Round 3). I can’t wait to create another fighter and start again.Pros: Great story! You feel like you are in a move (a Rocky movie?) with live action video from your cut man, manager, promoter(s), as well as Don King himself.Cons: Only 2 really: the graphics. Fight Night Round 3 definetely has better greaphics. The controls were different – although I got used to using the triggers to throw punches. If you like boxing and boxing games you should pick this one up – especially at this price.
