My kids are great at this game, they picked it up quick as they are Rock Band fans and also play real instruments. I tried playing this game and while it is a little intimidating at first I was quickly learning and moved up a level. I enjoy the music on it and it’s tons of fun.
Ok, This game is great. I was waiting for a R&B/Hip-Hop answer for the Guitar Hero and Rock Band. So it’s here and I love it. I had Guitar Hero World Tour and it was cool, but some of the music I didn’t relate to. I grew up listening to R&B and Hip-Hop, don’t get me wrong I love all music but this is what I can really get into. This game is fun because when you first begin you go thru a training tutorial of everything that you will do in the game. This game is merely hand/eye coordination and that’s it. It’s fun and not hard at all. The turntable looks pretty basic at first sight but it’s is pretty loaded with stuff once you begin playing the game (it keeps you busy). Gee wiz, after I played a couple of hours I felt the numbing and stiffening in my left hand for keeping up with all of the streams of music. All and all it’s very additive and fun.The gameplay is really good too, I love how the crowd gets all amped up and they start “raising the roof” which makes you get more into the flow and that really helps you stay focused on hitting the right streams because you don’t want to let the crowd down. The better you do the more points and stars you accumulate. The stars are critical because that is how you get “paid in pull” and unlock other Dj’s, turntables and venues…there is so much more to unlock but I can’t remember all of them.Overall, I say buy it ($120). It will keep everyone happy for a while, It think it has a high replay value. I really appreciate DJH because I love.
Excellent
As a long time fan of hip hop, I could never get into any of the other “Hero” or “Band” games. In fact, I completely avoided them because the music simply did not interest me. However, I always had hope that someone in the gaming industry would recognize the popularity of this genre and make a game. Amazingly, not only did they make a great game, they made a truly unique experience that you can’t get anywhere else. When you first start up the game, be sure to practice all of the tutorials that are available. If you do not, then you will lose half of the experience because you won’t understand what to do. While it’s easy to jump into the game at beginner or the easy difficulty levels, you will be lost if you try Medium or higher due to the extra elements of the game.As far as the gameplay goes, this game will never get old if you have people around to watch or play with you. I was surprised at the depth of the tracks available and also the genres that were covered. Even if you’re not a fan of rap or hip hop, you will find a lot of songs that you will love to mix.Overall, this is an incredible gaming experience that should be played at least one. If you’re already fan of the music game genre, this is a no-brainer. If you’re on the edge of purchasing this game, just do it and you won’t regret the purchase. If you’re not sure if this game is for you, go to your local Best Buy and try it out for yourself. I can almost guarantee that you will end up purchasing the game on.
Got it mostly so my lil cousin would play it but I had to be good at it first. Fun to play
I bought this for my son for Christmas. It is a lot of fun for all of us! Easy for him to figure out – harder for me to get the movements down but fun nonetheless! Buy it! It is a great addition to our game room.
Perfect Condition, In BoX, Very Fun GameTo Play, The Price is Got To Be The Best Part Of It All
DJ Hero is as good, if not better than, guitar hero 5. It takes a while to learn, but once you hit expert, it’s incredibly fun and fast-paced.Also, there wasn’t a lot of packaging that came with it, really only the main box inside of an retrolio box.
I have always appreciated a good rhythm game and DJ hero is just that. The game boasts a good song selection for everyone hip-hop, rap, pop and a little rock. If you have listened to a radio in the past 30 years your going to recognize a majority of the songs.Hardware- Lets start with the actual turntable its self. It looks amazing for starters. The turntable is very well constructed feeling heavy and durable. I have never spun records but I would assume this is what it would feel like. You have the normal colored buttons on the turntable. To the left or right, whichever you decide to put the mixer table, has a Fader, Effects dial, Euphoria button (that lights up when the euphoria meter is ready) and full D-pad and controller buttons.HARDWAREPros- feels sturdy, heavy and durable- Realistic feel- Full spinning turntable- looks amazing you wont mind having this setting on your coffee tableCons-Buttons on turntable can become slick(from sweat or your potato chip grease stained fingers) after a while of play making the heaviness of the turntable cause you to scratch for a little to long on some parts or slip out of your hand.- The fader has to be moved from left to right and back to the middle which is hard to do precisely since where the fader clicks in the middle can be hard to find and can become frustrating when going for a streak.GAMEPLAYThe gameplay is a lot like all the guitar hero games. It reminds me of the Guitar Hero games as it is easy to pick up very hard to master..
