This is a great game, and fun to play.
owned it for PC played very much, bought to play with lady. Shes happy.
Pretty good, I guess. I still like 2 better, but this was pretty good. I already beat it and now I’m trying it on it’s next hardest level.
Skyrim is one of my favorite games ever made, this is now the other. INSANE graphics, cut scenes that blow movie quality computer graphics away. Great story and intense action. This game is very hard to put down, and one that I can play for extensive periods of time without becoming bored one bit. If you’re thinking of buying this, stop thinking about it and buy it. Do it now. You won’t be sorry. Awesome is a severe understatement.
Bought this as a gift for a friend and they love the game. He plays it all the time.
Diablo 3 is just fantastic. My complaints are what I will draw down here, because everything else is pretty much wonderful. I’d have to start off with the graphics…The Graphics: The graphics in Diablo 3 are wonderful!… for 2nd gen consoles maybe. It’s hard to believe that when I talk to the merchant to sell items that he looks like such a piece of dog mess. Maybe they were counting on the fact that you can’t zoom in on the characters. When the merchant menu pops up and this ugly waste covers the screen, I can’t help but wonder what went wrong? Maybe they just chose not to focus on it. Well, other than being in town, the graphics don’t bother me…The Story: The weakest point in both Diablo 2 and 3 is the awfully short story. I’ve seen people run through this game in 8 hours. Blizzard depends on replay value WAY too much. The best part of a video game is the discovery, and playing through it. Changing the difficulties is the ONLY way to experience the game in a different way? Lack of content is my number one pet peeve, and Diablo is probably the biggest perpetrator in my gaming library. If these things do not bother you too much, then I recommend this game for all beat em up/hack and slash players. The characters have character, the classes are completely personalized, and the overall user experience is VERY VVEERRYY friendly. The local multiplayer experience on the PS3 is absolutely incredible (as of right now, the best feature this game has to offer), and the environment.
I’m new to Diablo and this game is awesome; first and foremost its co-op offline and online. The view would of been better if the camera angle wasn’t coming from the top, but I guess it makes it easier with the two players. The graphics are good the story is ok and the game is not to difficult; started on easy changed to normal and planning on changing it to hard. The shipping was great, because I received the game two days in advance. Have not had the issue with losing any data so thank god for that one. Its a good game to have and I could play through all the characters and not get bored like some other people have commented. I don’t play to often so the story is lasting; for some of those people saying the game is to short might need to take longer breaks or explore a bit more rather than rush through. The game is repetitive, but what do you expect most games are like that. Well that’s it for me, enjoy gaming!
Well…call me a deliberate player, or a spacey, distracted player, but I’m *way* past 35-50 hours into this game! I like to think it’s a perfect storm between my play style/mood and options for replay built into the game. Here’s why I love Diablo 3 (PS3 version)–The delights of this game: Diablo 3, as has been mentioned before, works beautifully w. the PS 3 controller (notwithstanding the rather picky point I made below about POV). I agree with those who said it’s almost hard to imagine playing it as easily on a keyboard now that I’ve had a chance to get used to this console version. The structure of the game remains wonderfully intact (each Chapter advances the storyline) and involves exploration, exploring a variety of ways to derail the demons and cretins who are bent on your destruction; and then collecting the spoils of victory! This means tons of goodies to find and experiment with, agonize over choosing, etc. etc. In keeping w. a tradition of Diablo, random (?) “mini-bosses” or idiosyncratic characters show up to do battle, illuminated in gold and given nick-names; and typically yield especially nifty treasure. For those new to this 3/4 view, hack & slash, treasure hunting, rpg/adventure genre, it should be noted that Diablo 3 maintained a really fun game element from its own origins, and one that is critical to satisfying game play as well as replayability: You can select degree of difficulty from along the lines of something like a matrix; AND if you find yourself h.
When Diablo 3 came out for PC I was utterly disappointed. They took a fantastic game (Diablo2) , cut the depth of character development down to a fraction, slapped on a clunky cash market, slapped on better graphics and called it a day. That said, the console port is phenomenal. To me console games need to be more streamlined and less "hardcore". The way skills work where you can switch on the fly and try out different powers lends itself to a lighter multiplayer setting where you might have 3 people on the couch waiting for you to just pick your next ability already. With only a few minor exceptions(the way certain skills work without a mouse), the control lends itself perfectly to a console controller. The stick movement is more intuitive than point and clicking with a mouse, making you feel more like you are "in the action" so to speak.I recommend especially those out there like me who hated the PC release to give the console version a shot. Easily my favorite PS3 game.
My girlfriend and I have been playing this together for weeks. It is awesome. If you are into the Diablo lore and plot like I am, you can watch all the cut-scenes and listen to the narration. But if you’re like my girlfriend and just want to get straight to smash demons’ faces in with the barbarian, you can skip all that junk and go straight to the smashing. Great purchase, fun 2-player game, totally worth it.
