the game is really creepy right from the beginning, I’m not very far on the game but It’s been really scary so far, the graphics are really stunning for a ds game and the controls take some time to get used to but once i got the hang of it i couldn’t stop playing, well i stopped because it’s getting dark and i don’t wanna have nightmares :PIf you’re looking for a good horror game for the ds, look no further!
Very nostalgic DS game, it was pretty different from most DS games I played at the time. If you’re looking for a scary game with hellish enemies with an asylum setting, and alot of gore, you’ve come to the right place!
The game itself was in good condition and arrived its new home safe and sound. The game itself is freaking scary and I really haven’t played it too much because it is scary but that first few minutes is really awesome!
first of all I didn’t buy this game off of retrolio. Second of all I bought it brand new, sealed for 6.99 and I haven’t looked back. I love the control feel of this game the L button to attack, D-pad to walk and stylus to look around. The bosses they aren’t as memorable as other games of the genre *resident evil* or any genre with bosses actually. But they are fun and some are challenging, even though they are only 4. If you don’t like scary games or really gory stuff, don’t worry the graphics even though they are really well made, they aren’t scary at all. But even with that it’s still pretty well made. The soundtrack on the other hand I found it really spooky but it’s those types of music that stays tattooed to your brain cause it’s catchy. All in all it’s a really short game you’ll end it pretty quick, if you go easy mode… once you pass it the second go we’ll…it’s not as challenging for one, but I think it leaves you wanting for more. So I don’t know if that’s good or not. But I guess if Dementium 3 comes to nintendo DS and not xbox360/ps3(like the rumors say), I will buy it. You know why? Cause I played Dementium:the ward and although it was good also it had some cons, and the creators listened to the critics and made Dementium 2 with the improvements needed all by listening to us fans and myself. I appreciate that they care enough to buff up their product for us. So this game deserves a thumbs up and I would recommend this game to people who like Resident Evil games, S.
I really loved Dementium:The Ward and this is a truely better game. Everything has been improved and now you can wield 2 weapons. However, 2 things hamper me from giving this game a full 5 star review. First of all, the game is too short. The original game had 16 chapters, where as this one has only 5. These 5 chapters will take any where from 4 to 5 hours to finish on easy. The second thing is that some of the challenge is depleted due to the stock piling of weapons and health. I rarely died while playing. But It is a very fun game with a deep, confusing storyline that will really make you think. I highly recommend you buy this game!! Can’t wait for a Dementium III!
great game
One of my favorite games for the ds. Dementium was a decent little horror title that had a variety of flaws that kept it from being great. Dementium II delivers more of an optimized experience, with a lot of the things I disliked about the first game stripped away and replaced with better functioning game mechanics. For example, you can now dual wield a flashlight and a single handed weapon (such as the pistol), and you can now store health pills and ammo in your inventory, rather than having to leave them behind if you don’t need them.Throw in impressive graphics, fun weapons, awesomely twisted enemy design (my favorite being the balloon thing with the saw blade on the end of its tail), and a larger array of locations (including a few open, well lit areas, god forbid), and you get the best horror game on the system in my opinion. I admit there are some flaws, like frequently having to double tap the button to run, or the music that repeats whenever you encounter an enemy, but if you are able to overlook them, you are in for a fun little journey through hell.
There isn’t much I can really add to this game except the expanded landscape was a very welcome addition. Whereas the original was pretty linear, this game had you traveling to many places and returning to advance further in the hospital. With the revelations of your identity from the last game, there are many more clues to find in this game and more puzzles. The game play is similar, and of course, the game wouldn’t be the same without a new revelation at the end. I wonder if there will be a third in the series. I’ll be waiting.
its probably one of the best games on the ds and its compatable for the 3ds, if your a fan of FPS games, gorey horror games, and quake 2 style graphics then pic yourself up a used copy and dont bother with the HD remake on the computer…its not optomised well…
I ordered this game and it said it would be delivered on the 22nd. I received it on the 18th!But about the game, I have Dementium: The Ward and I’ve played all the way through it twice. The game was very tense and had a well built atmosphere, but it was also repetitive using the same floor mapping over and over (except for the roof and basement).Dementium 2 is a big step up from that. It has a large world that has something new around every corner. Using weapons feels nice and aiming isn’t cluttered and awkward like the DS Call of Duty games. This is probably one of my favorite DS games and if you’re thinking of buying it, it’s a great game!
