My kids wanted to play minecraft together and one needed to use a PC vs the Xbox. This controller was to help my young kids keep the same experience and it worked flawlessly. The controller plugged right in and immediately worked without any funky drivers or installations. No annoying apps were needed to get it working or configure it. The kids loved the RGB lighting and it makes the controller easier to find when it’s in a mess of toys. Great item!
Bought this on a whim for PC and it turned out to be a great purchase. Been wanting an Xbox One controller but with the high price and durability problems, I started looking elsewhere. My main concern was thumb stick dead zones which will make certain games unplayable (fps). This controller doesn’t have any I can speak of. The vibration feedback in GTA V is immersive. The controller feels and looks great. The triggers are smooth and the buttons have a nice feel to them. When not powered up, the controller looks like a Nintendo switch pad (all black) but when you turn it on, the 4 face buttons light up as does a blue rim around the right stick. The face buttons are clear on top and colored on the bottom so when they light up it looks cool. The clear buttons will scratch easily from what it looks like but that’s a minor caveat. If you want an Xbox style controller on PC and don’t need bluetooth, grab this instead. It’s one of the highest quality 3rd party controllers I’ve ever used.
After my old controller had its triggers break, I ordered this one as a quick, cheap replacement, and it is even better than my previous one. There is no delay on the buttons, turbo works fine, LED buttons are also a nice touch. While the controller is not quite as sturdy as some other models, it does seem to be adequate as long as you are not the type of gamer who constantly throws controllers against the floor and walls. The only real negative thing I could say about it is the close proximity Left/Right Buttons to the Left/Right Triggers, but it isn’t so close as to cause lots of problems. Overall, I would recommend this controller to PC gamers.
Solid, compatible, good price point. One caveat: The controllerĆ¢ā¬ā¢s turbo mode switching and input mode switching can be triggered accidentally. Keep the manual around in case the controller starts acting strangely!
For a $20 Chinese-made controller, this one is better than I expected. The only problem I had is with the right thumbstick. When pressed to the left, it likes to stutter a lot, starting and stopping constantly, even when consistently pressed to the left.EDIT: The stuttering has now spread to both thumbsticks. Very sporadic and annoying.
I’m always nervous getting third-party controllers because they just never seem to be of comparable quality. This is the first one I’ve ever purchased that I’ve had absolutely zero regrets. The paperwork it came with is almost unintelligible due to what I can only guess was an over-reliance on Google translate – but it doesn’t really matter because all you have to do is plug it in and it just works. My only real complaint is that the four center face buttons all look and feel identical, especially in the dark, so I find myself hitting the wrong one frequently. It’s not a big deal since those buttons aren’t exactly used very often, but I wouldn’t mind some changes to the design there.
Before I begin please feel free to comment like and subscribe to transformational gaming on my YouTube channel. And my Twitter is transform_gamer. This is a pretty cool little gamepad. The controller is somewhat closest to the Nintendo switch controller but like a quarter of the price. It handles very well and and I like the aesthetics and LEDs that brings the controller to life. I also like the feel of the controller as it is somewhat a cousin to the xbox controller. It’s more narrower than the xbox controller and I like that. The only real cons to the controller so far is that it tends to lose synchronization with the games if you switch to a different screen or lose focus of the game as it applies to the desktop. Usually closing out and restarting the game clears all that up. Plus I don’t think all that is necessarily the fault of the controller itself. So I’ve had it for a couple of weeks now and I feel comfortable in saying that, ‘you should get this controller’.
My wireless gamepad was getting irratic and would drop out on me in the middle of gameplay. I decided a cord ain’t so bad. Nice long cord
I bought this controller so I could play some casual games on my PC with a controller, and it has served that purpose well. The controller was straightforward to set up and started working immediately after I plugged it in. I’ve had no problems with it since, and it has been a great addition to my PC setup. The controller feels great and performs well enough for most use cases. Overall, I wouldn’t say this is the absolute best controller money can buy, but if you are looking for something simple and easy to use that doesn’t cost too much, this controller is a great choice.
I was pleasantly surprised by this controller, especially given the price. It fits nicely in the hand, has a nice, textured grip (hard plastic, but at this price point I didn’t expect anything nicer), and overall looks pretty sharp. The lighting effects are a nice touch. I tested the inputs, and the triggers have true digital input (they clearly and smoothly read how far they’ve been pressed from 0 to 100%, important in certain games like driving simulators). All buttons work properly, and I have to say the backlit ones look especially nice. Thumbsticks have smooth input as well, no wobble, with a small and functional dead zone. No hitching or “walking” out of the box. They’re also made of hard plastic, which is a pro and a con, since while they’re a bit harder to grip with your thumbs, they won’t have any problems with wearing. My one complaint is that the shoulder buttons and d-pad are a little mushy for my taste, though both have solid inputs when pressed. Vibration works well and doesn’t feel like something’s going to shake loose, and while you might not use the turbo mode much, it does work and it’s a fun feature to have in certain games. Overall, I’d say it’s well worth the price, and I’m happy with my purchase.
