I have own this game for a little over 6 months now. I enjoy playing this game and experiencing it’s unique feel. The Story of this game makes it separate from the rest of the average FPS. This game takes place in a urban environment. The game plays always at night time never day. The graphics are very nice and the gameplay works well with the game. I bought this game for the price which was a fraction of what newer games cost. The creepy feeling of the game makes it worth playing. This game is an excellent value and worth picking up.
Controls aren’t clunky maybe ppl aren’t to bright that said that lol.. I beat the game in easy mode found cheats wanna play it all over again but this time try to get all the mini game things! I actually do research on things I’m playing or going to play lol.. got the second one it wasn’t as good in this one you can just chill walk around and do errands for ppl walk into some building and take trains on second one to many (auto playing scenes) no mini games till game is actually beat really and you don’t play as Jackie in those! You can’t just chill to much walk around and discover things or go into any buildings unless it’s necessary don’t get to talk to other charectors to much like you can in this one! Love the game wish it had more mini games to play in between the Maine parts of the game I love casual games more then straight to the guts and glory! There are trophies so anyone saying there isn’t must be really bad at the game haha!
The Darkness is a wild ride from beginning to end, a game that tells a story of a young mafia hitman that gains a special demonic power on his 21st birthday. As the game progresses, you learn how to wield this awesome power and get revenge on your Uncle Paulie for deeds I shall not name in this review for I do not want to spoil the game for you. But what he does to you is something you cannot forgive him for, and Uncle or not you want his blood. The Darkness is one of the most dramatic games you could play on a game console, especially for FPS standards. The PS3 version which I played looks wonderful and has a rock solid frame rate throughout the entire game. It does not however take advantage of the standard Hard-Drive nor the motion sensing SIXAXIS controller, probably due to it being designed around the weaker specifications of Microsoft’s Xbox console.The game is NOT for the faint of heart, you will see many point-blank gunshots to your enemies heads, as well as ripping their hearts out. Enjoy!
this game is very good the effects with the hd pic is awsome it has good story but you do move kinda slow at times witch is not to great but you can summon darklings and use them to attack your foes its really good the online play is not bad etheir if you like shooting games then this is very goodgame to get soo go out and get it

This is a good game for people that are tired of run of the mill FSP’s. It has a good story told through cutscreens while loading which is pretty cool. Graphics are excellent and the gameplay is good also. I dont rate games based on who makes them, I rate them on how good they are. This is a game everyone with a PS3 should add to thier big name list.
Excellent game! Fun factor is very high and the story is gritty. Truly one of the best games out for the PS3 and shows the off the systems yet to be fully utilized power. Movement is a little pesky sometimes and the map is not excactly helpful unless you have a monstrously big hdtv. Definitely worth every penny.
